You are an idiot.TS-X wrote:I never said that i wanted veyron... and im repeating this for like 3rd time... im fine with A5 TDi...Grez~Supra_RZ-S wrote: The fact you prefer a comfortable diesel rattler and dream about cars youll never own doesnt even come into it.
Just that i dont think any japanise tuned car can ever be better than veyron... it might be faster, but speed is only one aspect of car...
I'm pretty sure Grez was implying that an dumba** like you would never be hired by any manager with a brain larger than that of a bird (Thus, you won't even be able to afford an A5).
If he wasn't implying it, then I'm just throwing it out there for you to think about (If that doesn't cause too much of a headache for you).
And just a suggestion, but since you've been officially pwned by everyone posting here, now would be a good time to shut up.

*puts asbestos gloves on again... they're getting worn out already, and they're brand new*
Also:
Style: Everyone who sees you driving a Veyron will probably think either "Wow, that guy's rich", "Wow, that car is impressive", "Wow, that car is excessive and a waste of money", or "Wow, that guy is such a rich old guy that he has to compensate for his lack of a life in general, with an expensive supercar". The latter two are more likely, in my opinion.
*takes off asbestos gloves. I'm done with this thread unless TS-X stops making me use the gloves - I need to get them fixed anyway.*
Ditto. I personally don't think you're stupid or anything, just that you're outnumbered at least 7 to 1. You can express your opinion that you like European cars better and stuff, but don't do so in a way that antagonizes everyone else.Porsche-AG wrote:And just a suggestion, but since you've been officially pwned by everyone posting here, now would be a good time to shut up.
Also:
Luxury: In a supercar, the more "luxury" items you add, the more weight you add, and weight = loss of speed. Besides, I live in a place where leather seats are painful suicide (in fact, it's been estimated that car interiors are typically better solar ovens than... well, solar ovens).TS-X wrote:no im talking about luxury and style...

Ah, we have now entered the final phase. The possible outcomes are not loooking good (for some).TS-X wrote:Well fck you right back...![]()
Time for a summary.
Exotic cars: Apparently "stylish", which is all that matters.
Nike shoes: Cool, because they're expensive.
Asian people: Have names like Chong, Ching and Chang. And they all look the same.
Automotive industry: The only chaps who are capable of making good cars, or cars that are worth noting.
Jap/tuner cars: Potentially better and faster than exotic cars in every single aspect, except for "style". And so therefore they suck.
Oxygen: When combined with TS-X, equals failure.

OMG. I was away for two days and the entire tread got too complicated for me to follow.

Racism isn't generally accepted in modern society, and what have people got against exotics?

Basically what bogan said was a sum of all the stupid and absolutely wrong points that TS-X mentioned.
That argument was a waste of web pages, seriously. If TS-X had of just kept his mouth shut, we'd all be right.

Translation Phrase ~ Commonly used as a form of insult or retort. In this case, used as a last desperate act in the face of being proven wrong several times by several different people. See ownage.TS-X wrote: Well fck you right back...![]()
Actually, what we've shown, is that the Japanese car will not only be faster, it will handle better, be easier to drive, easier to maintain, easier to live with, cost less to run, to buy, to fix, and will have more usable options, such as working A/C (in itself, less costly to recharge/maintain), and I wont have to look stupid by getting out and turning a key in the sill every time I want to go above 200mph, or turning it again if I want the car to handle properly again. You see, having a car that you need to stop, get out, and switch from 'handling' to 'speed' is pretty useless as a performance car.Just that i dont think any japanise tuned car can ever be better than veyron... it might be faster, but speed is only one aspect of car...
Sure, its more exclusive, and more expensive, but then its useless.
No he's not, nor did he ever. Read the thread, first.Um, are you bagging asians AGAIN???

WTF!!!
My last name IS Chang, so go and shove it!
I absolutely hate racist people, so I'm gonna react strongly...
(and bogan, sorry about that, just a misunderstanding...)

Um, Striker, I think Grez was referring to TS-X's "Chong Ching Chang" comment, so he was being sarcastic. However, I've heard about an entire forum that was engulfed in a flame war after someone said something like that, even sarcastically, and the other person took it seriously, and we don't want that to happen to NFS Unlimited.
OK, everyone... back on topic already. We've wasted a week or more and 2-4 pages on this already, let's not waste any more time or forum space.

Im not going to use the ''hey, a lot of my friends are Asian'' (although for what its worth, they are), but yes, I was being sarcastic after TSXs post. I would hope Bogan knows me well enough to know I would never insult him like that.

If you had $200,000, why would you HAVE to get either a exotic or a tuner? Why can't you get something like a RS6/RS4, or even a M3/M5/CL63AMG?

If you're going to think like that then what's stopping you from buying 200,000 items at the dollar store with $200K?

lol
You're right, but nevertheless, it's a valid point. Why not?

Re: $200K exotic car or $200K modified car?
OK this is going to get a bit confusing, maybe, maybe not, I don't know, but anyway:
These are the choices that you could possibly have with that sort of money:
Tuner route: Completely overhaul engine (usually four-pot) with aftermarket goodies so that it will murder almost anything. Possibilities= endless.
Exotic route: blow all the money on a single car and that's it. Usually the better option if you don't know what the firetruck you're doing.
Medium route: Kind of an all-rounder; spend about 50-75k buying your car, the rest on premium bits. Good if you want the initial project to be better quality than the tuner route, but not overly expensive ala the exotic route.
[One that I just thought of] motorcycle route: Choose your weapon, if you want performance then a 1000cc superbike, if you want looks then a Harley or similar cruiser, and then go wild. Choose this option if you want to be a tight-@$$ because this is probably the cheapest way to go.
