Uhhhhmmm, I hate to brake the news but..... yeah thats how people see the cars ingame.

The point is that they have a graphics card that supports all graphic features in NFSU2 like AntiAntialsing en Ansiotropic Filtering etc etc and it doesn't slow the game down to an not acceptable framerate.

While we (i have a FX 5200, a tuned :) Geforce 2) run the game with triliniar/biliniar filtering and no or a lower setting of AA and AF. Full options on my card means I would play NFSU2 like a slideshow with an interval of 10 sec per slide or so :)

So just like im doing, search for a cheap but better card and then play it like its supposed to be played.

Well, don't forget that the Geforce 2 is like 2,3 years old so.....

And with this "best graphics card" war going on even the new X800 and 6800 are already "old".

Try to update to a ATI 9800Pro, Nvidia 5900 or the 5950, and believe me, you'll be able to play most games at max settings. And you'll still have a card that can go along for a year or 2.

But we better get back on topic. If you want to know more open a topic in the Hard ware section of this forum.

when you unlock them you have to convert you whole body kit you cant convert individual parts of it like the bumper, skirts, etc... but you can change the wing, trunk, and hood to carbon fibre individually

wich one do you have the 128mb or the 256mb, because if you have the 256 you can run with everything on max( i think because with the 128mb you can have almost everything on)

Yep. 9800PRO 256 MB RAM, you can run the game with all settings to full. My friend has one, and he has all options on.

On the 128 MB version there is a little catch.
There are 2 versions.

1. 128bits interface
2. 256bits interface

Some manufactures sold the 128bits interface version as a 9800PRO but it's not a PRO it's the standard 9800 version!!!!

So whenever you're buying a 9800PRO, second hand or new, always check the if the interface is 256bits.

Otherwise you'll be paying to much for a card thats not what you think it is.

Yeah that's true my friend had the same problem. I first had a 9800 pro 256 aswell but now i have a X800 XT 512 so i won't be buying a new card for a year or so because most games only need 128 or sometimes 256

ralta, goto your garage, select "World Map" and complete any races which are listed as "not completed" under every stage. you should be about stage 4 in your world map right now...

cofeeman:

pictures could be taken via pressing the "print screen" button (Prt Scr) and then pasting the image into any graphics editing program...

for the outruns, when u see the signal, if ure on a pc just pree the Ener or Return button,... if ure on a onsole like ps2 or xbox press the key for "acceptance". maybe some console guru might pop in and give his blessing. i prefer pc all the way... woo...

Hey Coffee man, you need to follow the cars, pass it and them try to "outrun" it. Once you have the lead, you can go in any direction you want just try to loose the car. One way to win outrun races, once you have the lead, just go straight and make a sharp turn, the guy ususally will not be able to turn and follow you, and by the time he get around the corner, you are already winning.

ralta, magazines are won through star rating. increase the rating of your car. ex carbon fibre parts get more rating... even i u might not like them...

then you might also need to gain more reputation points. do more races from the garage world map, and dont forget to restart the race to gain money/rep points...

Sponsor Vinlys (i.e. BestBuy, Burger King)

Post by Sabas NFS »

I was wondering if I could know how to unlock the sponsor vinyls without using the cheat codes at the "Press Start" screen. 8)

Aren't magazines won from completing races  After you complete the game, if you look through your 20 magazines, they all say each was awarded for having done the N-th race in stage M or something... it's the DVD covers that are won through star rating right?
