A lower price will be in 2-3 years when the ppl from Apple will realize that the iPhone is very overpriced.
Now,nobody buy it cuz of the price,so the lowering of the price will happen.

Apple will definitely not dominate the PC industry. If they would, they should've made a lot of progress by now, as their computers already have all basic components that makes the iPhone and iPod popular. Though it's still required to install a Mac OS, which is rather unpopular.

Have you been checking the news lately?

The demand is extremely high, with those nutheads waiting in line to get an iPhone. A high demand increases the price, Apple has hyped the iPhone incredibly much and people were actually waiting for one to come.

The iPhone lives on the success of the iPod: A good looking piece of technology that operates surprisingly easy, carries the Apple logo and is the iPod's big brother. This thing can't fail, it's too good looking.

Coming from a Mac user, Mac hasn't crashed on me as much as Windows computers have. Apple has revolutionised the PC world. If Mac wasn't invented I think all of us will be running on DOS still..

Phone wise, I think iPhone is not just about the looks. Apple products has never been just about looks. Performance wise is also exceptionally good, even though some people may like it because of its looks. Hidden powers in a good looking device.

Motorola is lagging behind in every area, the only place where people buy them is in North America, the rest of the world doesn't want them.

The Iphone does look nice, and it might be a success but for now the price is to high for most, and most buyers will get it for the hype it's becomming just as they did with the Ipod.

TheStig, that's what I'm saying though. Motorola has been in the cellphone industry for years and years and still produce crappy cellphones (for the North American market anyways) and here comes this noob company at cellphones (aka Apple) and produce an amazing product!

Difference is that Motorola produces a wide range of mobile phones.. Apple has started developing the iPhone a few years back and can spend most of their time on it, also giving it their own OS with some unnecessary components left out.

The iPhone has a fantastic design and interface.. I'd use it if I got one for free, but I'd never buy it. It doesn't offer you enough for its price, and it lacks several common handheld features.

Apple is very greedy, it costs them $220 for the parts for one iPhone, and thats the 8gb model, yet they sell it for $600. How can assembly and packaging add the other $380?

You do realize that the people who worked on the iPhone also have to get paid a percentage from each iPhone sold? The marketing team, analysis, advertisements, distribution...etc.etc.....and even big Jobs himself...

More of like the 'duplicators' are desparate for money.. This is not the first time other companies have copied Apple's designs. Apple should really start patenting their stuff.

The iPhone by CECT is just another cheap copycat (By Chinese, as usual) that doesn't even come close to what the iPhone does. So obviously the price is lower.

Dude, my friend dropped his RAZR while he was rollerblading, he fell and it came off his belt... he cracked the plasma screen on the front! XD That really sucks though because he had to get his RAZR replaced about a month ago...

I'm lucky I haven't broken mine yet...

That's a LCD, either a CSTD (old glass LCDs) or a TFT (new plastic LCDs).

What about the Nokia N73? What are people's thoughts on it?

I've heard that it crashes, especially when you have a lot of things open but I've also heard that many of the problems are fixed when you update the firmware from Nokia....

The Nokia N73 sucks...my mate has gone through five of them in a couple of months, all manufacturers faults like the camera not working and not being able to talk. He also had software problems too.
