CRAZY cop cars
Re: CRAZY cop cars
i got a black undercover charger police car in my small town
Re: CRAZY cop cars
To the best of my knowledge... Lamborghini gave 1 of their cars as a gift to the italian police force. The cops were so happy with it, they bought another themselves. Thus why people have heard they got 2 of them.

Re: CRAZY cop cars
Actually according to Top Gear magazine, the Gallardo cop car is used to carry organs to the hospital for transplant in Italy. True story.

Heres a G35
Re: CRAZY cop cars
geez, you guys in other countries seem to have a lot of variety in police cars.
In good old australia, about 10% are the old VZ commodores, 60% are the new VE SV6, 15% SS, and a few ford cars are in the mix. These days, in Victoria at least, there is basicly no more Fords left. The new VE commodore has replaced the lot of them, with the base model omega being used as undercover police vehicles.
It's kinda funny, because the new VEs look REALLY cool, especially for police. The SS has this nice bodykit, and quad exhausts, and so does the SV6, except with twins.
And the CV8 is still on the job, but there in now also quite a few orange and yellow highway pursuit cars around too.
And although this is old, that car in the background IS a commodore VZ wagon.
I can recognize just about any car in Victoria instantly just by the shape on their tail lights, so looking at the whole front is REALLY easy.

Hah, trust me, the VEs don't look so cool when you're the one being pulled over

To me NO cop car would look cool if you were being pulled over by it....boganbusman wrote:Hah, trust me, the VEs don't look so cool when you're the one being pulled over
Re: CRAZY cop cars
yeh, that means i'm lucky not to be old enough to drive a car yet...
I would of thought that the police would have like a very powerful 4-door sedan as a cop car, like a Evo/Sti/HSV
Have any of YOU been caught by police??? And why???

Re: CRAZY cop cars
I got done by a VZ a little while back. It was a Saturday morning, on the way to work, and I was having a little blast through the sidestreets. I was almost there when I noticed the lights flashing at me. Turns out he was following me for a while, but I never saw him coming. Said to me that he was topping 110 and his brakes were on fire and I was still pulling away. So I couldn't really talk myself out of that one . . . I was literally 10 metres from work as well
Re: CRAZY cop cars
i share your pain...
I bet you got a hefty fine. I mean 110 on a side street!!!
What car were you driving at the time? One of my friends (he's 21) drove this Supra up the street and this cop pulled him over for having a massive exhaust, and he was speeding by 2 km/h...
Sometimes the police really show prejudice when it comes to cars...

Re: CRAZY cop cars
My MR2 (100% stock).
I was lucky not to lose it, with all those new anti-hooning laws. It was my first offence so he let me off with just a fine, but it's made me a bit paranoid now Which is the whole idea, I guess.

Re: CRAZY cop cars
That is exactly what a fine and warning for a bigger punishment is for....
Last week I got pulled over by a police patrol van because they tought that doing 50 kmh (30mph) on a (mini) roundabout (normal 1 lane roundabout) was to much, they coudn't measure my speed but I know I did just over 50 I didn't see anything really wrong with it, I took the first exit so it was not like I was going full round.
but what it in their opinion made it not so nice was that I was doing it in the driving lesson car, and I should give a good example and the the wrong one... like anyone was watching at 2 AM... (streets where completely empty, exept for parked police van on the other side of the roundabout) I soon noticed that I was followed cause I noticed a white van following me in the distance and it was gaining on me and a few blocks further the sign "stop Police" lit up...
Wich was like 100m from my home....

You're a driving instructor!?!?!?!?!?!
Since when??? I probably don't know because I'm kinda new...
Have you ever been like 'properly' done in by the cops while instructing a student???
What's the biggest fine that anybody's ever got???

Re: CRAZY cop cars
I was pulled over by a generic Crown Vic about a week or two ago at 10:00 p.m. I was driving without headlights on, my inspection (MOT) was two months expired, my county sticker was four months expired, my panel lights did not work, my windows did not roll down...
...and they let me go...
...without even a warning.
HOW, you may ask.
Well, I had been staring at a computer screen for four hours trying to not work, and I forgot to turn on my lights. The parking lot and adjacent road were well lit and I didn't notice. Also, since my panel lights don't work, there was no other way to tell. Even when the Police car flashed his lights at me, it took me a minute to work it out, so he pulled me over.
I will pause for a moment to examine my thoughts at the time:
...
I decided not to open the door right away, the better not to spook the Officer (surprising people who regularly carry guns is bad form, incidentally). I waited until he got to my window with his flashlight and gestured at the nonfunctioning electric window switch. THEN I opened the door. This didn't seem to bother him (perhaps he sees this alot in my area). We breifly discussed my thoughtlessness and he took my driver's license to make sure I hadn't done anything this idiotic before, which I hadn't, fortunately. His headlights lit up my cabin quite brightly, and because the stickers were backlit, he could not read the dates on them from the back. He also could not discern that the panel lights were nonfunctional.
Therefore, finding nothing on my record, he let me go about my merry, fortuitous way .

Re: CRAZY cop cars
So now you post completely off topic.

Here's an answer: Google.Sharpenor wrote:I just wonna ask, What is the fastest Cop car in the World, Please answer back!
But yes, I'd like to think that the Lambo squad cars in Italy are the fastest in the world. I'll die if I see one (just one) of those being used as a police unit over here.
I don't see anything wrong with reviving this topic in particular.viper16 wrote:so now we revive year old threads
Re: CRAZY cop cars
Andre, Google could be an answer of an answer, but, You should know that there's A murcielago Squad, An Caparo Squad and also an SLR Mclaren Squad, So the SLR squad could be faster than the Lamb Squad!
Be Sharp!
