true you gotta give some gas with the car. i was the same way when i first got my car i would either peel out or kill it eventually you just know how much to give. the truck though all you do is press the clutch put it in gear and let the clutch out nice and easy.
since some are talking about the first thing they drove i guess i will, the first thing i drove was my dads truck a f350 back in 02'

Could be because the clutch in the truck is slipping. Also you don't get as much feedback in a large vehicle.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Well, in the Civic, I can't seem to get the timing right with the clutch and the gas; I either peel out or kill the engine. In the truck, it requires almost no effort, at all.
But keep going with the Civic, it's best to learn in a car that's harder to drive
No because the combination of drinking and driving is seriously uncool,EuroCable wrote:Why ?Pabl0z wrote:No. That's not cool.EuroCable wrote:Dacia 1300 ( Drunk ) On 15 yars old, With my CRAZY borther and my CRAZY friends OMG ... Was so coolU dont drinking never ?
Risking peoples lives can never be cool, look I don't care about what you do with your own life, but risking other peoples lives is anything but cool.
GROW UP!
Natural selection is good, but sadly most of the times they take innocent people with them in a crash.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Huzzah for natural selection!

That is one scary thing, had it once with a Ford Escort, I thought I could take a corner with just under 60 km, but it went understeering alot so I let go of the accelerator and it went to oversteer within a second. I kept the car on the road but it was damn scary.Grez~Supra_RZ-S wrote:You can powerslide though. Lift-off oversteer is the single scariest thing in a car, ever.steelsnake00 wrote:I think he's lying his bumbum off, seen as you can't drift an F/F car.

Re: First car You ever drove or will drive.
OKay OKay, can someone please explain how the hell you can get oversteer on a FWD?

Re: First car You ever drove or will drive.
Explain me why you can't..
Pull the handbrake while turning and you get oversteer.. Lift off while turning sharply and you'll most likely get oversteer too. The weight suddenly shifts to the front and the back end sways out.

Enter a turn fast enough to achieve understeer, then remove your foot from the accelerator and turn the wheel a half turn either direction. Dependon on the car, you'll either roll it, or end up facing the way you were going.Carcrazy wrote:OKay OKay, can someone please explain how the hell you can get oversteer on a FWD?

That my friend, is a powerslide, not oversteer. There is a difference, I just cant think of a way to say it without sounding stupid... To late!PSZeTa wrote:Explain me why you can't..

You're an idiot.Carcrazy wrote:That my friend, is a powerslide, not oversteer. There is a difference, I just cant think of a way to say it without sounding stupid... To late!
Any instance where the rear of the car turns more than the steering input indicates, or where the rear wheels of the car have a greater slip angle than the front, can be classified as oversteer.
