Bout the speed.., maybe I'll figure it out later.. until I find the right person that can help me with it...

If i was living near you i would gladly help but i live to far away sorry m8. Maybe when i get near you when i am on vacation, then i could help you don't know much about wheelchairs but i do know how to put a nice little engine under it and let it have a topspeed of 60 to 70 KM/h. And i know how to improve the steering. Ok maybe i know enough off how to make your wheelchair a little faster. But i live in the Netherlands and you live ..... To far away. One Question where do you live xXx

Maybe but i don't have a wheelchair off my own. I helped a friend one time build his one with a better engine so it runs 70Km/h insted of 20Km/h. His original one had a electro motor on it. I have build a Peugeot fox engine under it(That's a engine from a moped)There's only one problem it has a 5liter fueltank so every 100/110Km he has to refuel. And the other problem is that he has to change the sparkplug ones every year or so.

@ DoR: I'm living in Malaysia.., so it's really really far from Netherlands..
Btw, u bulit a 70km/h wheelchair b4..??
Wow.., that's really fast for a wheelchair...
As u said, u helped your fren to change his electric motor to fueled motor rite..?? How do I do that...??
Do I need to take off every part of my wheelchair to put a fueled motor in..??
It would be great if there's any pic to show me how it's done..
Btw, mine is an electric wheelchair too.. & it's really slow..

@exonn: wheelchair race..?? I had thought bout that b4.., but there's basically too little ppl here that's sitting on a wheelchair for me to race..

Yeah you have to remove the entire electrical block you have know. Except for the electrical wire's connected with the control stick because you can use the old control stick. Sorry don't have pic's i did it a few years ago. Didn't know then we gona have this discussion, if i know off this discussion i would have taken pic's from the wheelchair.
And don't ask me how the wireing goes i didn't do that i only build the mopet block under it. One importand thing is to re-adjust the wheelaccel or else you will have a one wheeldrive insted off a two wheel drive.

I guess I'm a few years late...
It sounds kinda complicated... :?
But where did you find the engine from..?? I mean the Peugeot engine.. Is it a brand new engine..??
Btw, I'm not so good with the wiring too... :( coz I don't really understand how it works...

No my friend had a peugeot fox (that's a mopet) He used it before he ended up in his wheelchair. That thing was using space so he had the idea to build the engine under his wheelchair and throw away the rest. And you're right it isn't easy but if you have some help it isn't that hard. As long you have someone that knows stuff about engine's and one with electronic's then it is becoming easyer.

You have to build a small muffler under it (just like any other petrol engined car or mopet or motorcycle.)

But I don't have camera at the moment... maybe next time I post the pics here, ok... so that u will have a better idea of how my wheelchair looks like...

@ Dani350z: Thx for the link.. Actually I was interested in the IBot 3000 but unfortunately, it costs too much.. around $ 30000... which is very expensive & I couldn't afford it...
As for the other wheelchairs.., they were just not my type of wheelchairs...
