Forza Motorsports is brilliant if you've got an XBox but nothing can beat Gran Turismo 4 or the Upcoming Gran Turismo Vision.
Gran Turismo has already been through 4 games of perfection... they know what they are doing out there....
On the other hand, I'm not saying Forza Motorsport is bad, I am just saying it hasn't been perfected yet.
Agreed, It offers better Tuning options but I wrote this to oppose master m who said:

This isn't the case as the Gran Turismo Series has always been the BEST simulator.master m wrote:This really IS the best Race-Sim EVER

ok, if you're going to post something to oppose someone argue your case.
Like I said before, Gran Turismo series has been perfected as it's been progressing. Forza, however, is the first in it's line and doesn't have the base of perfection yet, and probably never will.
GT4 has better graphics, more realistic gameplay, and has a wider selection of cars.
The ONLY thing, IMO, that Forza beats GT4 in is the tuning option. Cars can be tuned better in Forza
EDIT**: I didn't mean tuned better, I meant there are more tuning options

It's that Forza is a real complete game. I mean, what do you want more? You've got engine swaps, bodykits, vinyls etc. They simply looked at the GT games and pretty much worked out some other parts to create a nice racing game. The racing tracks however, look very boring to me.
But still, nothing can beat the great Gran Turismo style. It's already fun to drive those shiznit slow cars, I really enjoy it when I play GT4. It's not a real simulator, the driving is slightly arcade-ish, with tints of simulation.

Forza calculates physics more than twice as many times per second, has better physics overall (check the telemetry view in replays), damage, and AI (which would be a stretch to use in association with GT4). GT's not much of a sim either- with 700 cars, less than a fourth of those could have enough data from the real cars to put together something that drives like its real counterpart. GT4 has rain and a Honda Odyssey and that's about all I'll give it, PZ-man summed it up pretty well that GT4's audience is more of a casual crowd.mohsan1988 wrote:ok, if you're going to post something to oppose someone argue your case.

1) Forza DOESN'T have better graphics. go to neowin.net and read their review of Forza vs. Gran Turismo.ViperGT wrote:Forza has:
1. better graphics
2. more visual car realism
3. real tracks that are amazingly close to the real ones
4. weather that changes and effects tire wear grip and other aspects
5. tuning is much more extensive and better
6. should I go on??
PROVEN that GT4 has better graphics.
2) More visual car realism???? what are you talking about? that's rubbish, the only plus side of the Forza visual side is that it can have more body kit's and more Ricer Stuff.
3) Tracks are amazing? they are pretty boring I would say, Gran Turismo has a wider variety of tracks and therefore you won't get as bored easily.
4) Weather that changes and all that? well I can't really oppose you there because I never really noticed it much (I rented the game for a week, so glad I didn't buy it)
5) Tuning is more extensive... you are right there... more parts enabled...
Better? No. Gran Turismo Designers worked with the actual car companies, I.e. Honda, Nissan, etc to come out with the BEST overall performance realism figures to this day.
6)You can go on if you like... I don't really care, won't change my mind.

I like forza but there is 1 problem... I have to buy a XBOX for it... ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
and knowing the new gen of consoles is around the corner... I don't know if it is worth it to buy a XBOX or even a PS2 for GT4 that is (other games I really don't care about ... only Forza and GT4 are a reason for me to buy a (or 2) consoles

I saw an advert from "Media Markt", where you can buy an Xbox/Forza-pack. It includes:
- 1 Xbox
- 2 controllers
- Forza Motorsport
- 1 DVD remote
€ 190
$ 233
£ 125
This might be interesting for someone who wants to play Forza.

There are great games for the PS2 aswell. Like SpinterCell and Ace Combatboganbusman wrote:Why not? I bought a PS2 just to get GT4mohsan1988 wrote:I also think that you shouldn't get an xbox just for Forza
It's still the only PS2 game I own. It should be called a GT4station instead of a Playstsation

hey Stig wanna buy a mod chop Xbox for US $150?
it plays dvd-rws and all the other dvd copied cds. or how about a chipped ps2 for US $100?
does bascially the same thing the xbox does, oh yea the modchips for both of them play games from all over the world ie. japan, US... etc....
Forza is an awesome game, but its not better than gt4 hands down, there are better attributes, but gt4 prevails... IMO

I don't know if anybody said this or not, but Forza does suck, not for what you guys are talking about though. During one of the first press conferences for Forza Motorsport, they tried to play the demo, but it gave the Xbox the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Yeah, it was pretty funny. Even Microsoft's Xbox OS freezes up and crashes.
