God Bless America and its legal system.

The Stella Awards

The 'Stellas' are named after 81-year-old Stella Liebeck who spilled
coffee on herself and successfully sued McDonalds. That case inspired
the Stella awards for the most frivolous successful lawsuits in the
United States. Unfortunately, the most recent lawsuit implicating
McDonald's, the teen's who allege that eating at McDonald's has made
them fat, was filed after the 2002 award voting was closed. This suit
will top the 2003 list without question.

Here are this year's winners:

5th Place (tie)
Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas, was awarded $780,000 by a jury of
her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was
running inside a furniture store. The owners of the store were
understandably surprised at the verdict, considering the misbehaving
little toddler was Ms. Robertson's son.

5th Place (tie)
19-year-old Carl Truman of Los Angeles won $74,000 and medical expenses
when his neighbor ran over his hand with a Honda Accord. Mr Truman
apparently didn't notice there was someone at the wheel of the car when
he was trying to steal his neighbor's hubcaps.

5th Place (tie)
Terrence doodle of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was leaving a house he had
just finished robbing by way of the garage. He was not able to get the
garage door to go up since the automatic door opener was malfunctioning.
He couldn't re-enter the house because the door connecting the house and
garage locked when he pulled it shut. The family was on vacation, and
Mr. doodle found himself locked in the garage for eight days. He
subsisted on a case of Pepsi he found, and a large bag of dry dog food.
He sued the homeowner's insurance claiming the situation caused him
undue mental anguish. The jury agreed to the tune of $500,000.

4th Place
Jerry Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, was awarded $14,500 and medical
expenses after being bitten on the buttocks by his next door neighbour's
beagle. The beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced yard. The award
was less than sought because the jury felt the dog might have been just
a little provoked at the time by Mr. Williams who had climbed over the
fence into the yard and was shooting it repeatedly with a pellet gun.

3rd Place
A Philadelphia restaurant was ordered to pay Amber Carson of Lancaster,
Pennsylvania, $113,500 after she slipped on a soft drink and broke her
coccyx (tailbone). The beverage was on the floor because Ms. Carson had
thrown it at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument.

2nd Place
Kara Walton of Claymont, Delaware, successfully sued the owner of a
night club in a neighboring city when she fell from the bathroom window
to the floor and knocked out her two front teeth. This occurred while
Ms. Walton was trying to sneak through the window in the ladies room to
avoid paying the $3.50 cover charge. She was awarded $12,000 and dental
expenses.

1st Place
This year's run away winner was Mr. Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Mr. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor
home. On his first trip home, (from an OU football game), having driven
onto the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left
the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself a cup of coffee.
Not surprisingly, the R. V. left the freeway, crashed and overturned.
Mr. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising him in the owner's manual
that he couldn't actually do this. The jury awarded him $1,750,000 plus
a new motor home. The company actually changed their manuals on the
basis of this suit, just in case there were any other complete morons
buying recreation vehicles.

Now, everyone ---> :roll:

@ boganbusman: That is some funny stuff dude. Yeah the American legal system isn't quite what you would call perfect. Other places in the world have better legal systems than the US.

I started watching the 1st episode of bleach. i have only seen half of it and i have to say it is one of the most violent things i have ever seen on the tv. Kicking your son when he walks through the door because he forgot his dinner was at seven is crazy.

Violent..

Take a sniff of sarcasm dude. Kicking people out of the door in anime with yelling characters deserves sarcasm tags for newbies.

''Violence'' is perfectly normal when the characters are drawn in a specific way and say stupid things.

If you watch some more episode's you know why his father does that (yes he has a really good reason for it) and second this is not violent, i guess you haven't seen the new anime show Blood+ yet or a old show called Club to Death Angel! Dokuro Chan.

Dokuran Chan:

Blood+ Main Character: (possest by demons)

Now this is violence. BTW if anybody can't stand these pic's because of the blood let me know, then i will remove them at once.

i'm going to buy a new phone soon. it's not because i need a new phone, but it's because i need a new number. so i decided to change my network provider to Si.mobil Vodafone (bojan, do i get a cookie? :P ). so, i'm choosing betwen Siemens M65 and Sony Ericsson K700i. on the first hand the M65 is very well bulit and is very weather resistant. and i think the color doesn't get peeled of as easy as this happened to my K500i. i'm worried that it will be the same with the K700i. on the other hand the K700i has a radio player, supports mp3 files, has a camera with flash, you can use it as a remote control of your TV etc. i heard both have a poor battery lifetime, but i also heard you can make the battery last longer.

oh, i forgot one more thing...K700i supports Vodafone Live, M65 doesn't...

so, i'm very confused...a very well built phone over a TV remote control... :D but i'll se tomorrow what the shop near me offers...

The damn storm Wilma isn't remotely close to the US and people are already whining crying and bitching. shut the f*ck up already. Big Oil is gonna start gouging again. Just like the rioters in Toledo Ohio, any old excuse to cause trouble.

Club to Death Angel! Dokuro Chan.
Age rating: Mature (May contain sex, drugs, and extreme graphic violence)
Genres: Comedy, Magical Girl, Romance

It is a comedy, but as you can see it containce a lot of violence. Your are more into the happy non violent comedy's or do you also watch Family Guy and the Simpsons (they are both violent only you don't have bloody scene's in it, except The Ichi and Scratcy show  )

One small problem, you can't say that because you probaly haven't seen the episode's of Dokuro Chan. So you just based everything on 1 pic and the episode's of the simpsons you have seen. Correct me if i am wrong. And don't forget the part about personal taste either.

Wow.. I cant even imagine some kid watching an anime and laughing.. Literally laughing at his computer monitor while the blood spills from the screaming asian drawings.. I just dont see it.

And yes, Simpsons is funny.. I prefer Family guy even more.

You don't laugh at blood spilling all over.. Anime just has random humor. Damn, why don't you go watch some anime before you are being that biased with beer drinking Simpson and tarded Family Guy?

You guys are talking about anime like it sucks and nobody isn't allowed to keep their own opinions about it.. Like forcing them to dislike anime.

Most people here probaly hate anime, and don't even know that they have been watching it all allong. Best example's are some older shows like Transformers (anime classic)
