As stated elsewhere, I upgraded to a 7600GT 256MB. Best card I could get that my Dell-bespoke PSU (a whopping 250Wdarknight788 wrote:what kind of gfx cards are you guys running while playing tdu ? my 7300 GT seems to struggle just a bit not bad at all tho i expected it to struggle more when im playing 1024X768 at high detail. i might just go buy a new gfx card anyway today
I'm interested to hear that even 8800's lag - mine certainly lags for no more than a part of a second either! Not bad for a £100 card...
Oh, and the sound bug is (at least in my case) when you are driving along and suddenly the audio crackles and either goes off completely or, more commonly for me, gets exceptionally quiet - sounds like the engine has fallen out and been left behind on the road somewhere

I think it's because you need to stay above the required speed for a certain amount of time. That's my theory anyway
My game has now started freezing and crashing to desktop when I get to one particular road in Waialua (near the Lexus dealer)... Kinda annoying, since that's the finish line for a 70 km race (The Big Challenge). I had 6 minutes left for gold tho, so I could try to find a way around... Still, annoying.

Civilian cars get beat up quite bad, yeah, but Atari/Eden has the same problem as EA when it comes to licenses, so the cars we drive never get a scratch. Would be nice to at least have the cars get covered in dirt after a 3 hour drive, so the car washes in the game could actually be used for something useful, but we can't get everything either

I like car damage too, but I'm starting to accept that proper car damage in TDU or NFS will make it a not so good game. It would results in less cars, licenses would get more expensive, which would give developers less money for other things... I hope this changes tho, Ferrari (among others) being so against car damage and street racing games hasn't exactly made me much of a Ferrari fan..Black Fire wrote:I am one of those people who like car damage. Well Morty do you have to pay for the car washes?
Car washes are free, since they're not functional. You can only drive thru them, and pretend the car is actually getting washed...
Kinda funny, I was out cruising the island together with 5-6 others, when one of the guys suddenly wanted to show us something. What I realized a couple of hours later, was that the date was April 1st, and had I known that earlier, I probably wouldn't have followed him, and never known the hidden island existed...

What kind of cars do you all drive? And what levels are you?
I've been playing for 3 days (addicting game!) and I'm a "Pro level" right now and I drive a Corvette Z06 tuned to 604 hp. I just put my Ferrari F430 for sale at $150K since my Z06 is a much more powerful car with the tune-up and I am saving up for a class A car. I also own an Audi TT, Nissan 350Z, Corvette '69 Stingray, Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG, and the most expensive motorcycle (I forget what it's called).

im am at champion status, my favorite cars are my F430 tuned for 588 hp, my zo6 tuned for 606 hp, my viper tuned for 600 hp. i have a bunch of others like koenigsegg CC8s, and a saleen twin turbo tuned for 1000 hp. i dont like driving it that much tho because 1000 hp is kind of hard to handle
. i also have two mclarens, an enzo, murcielago, gallardo, etc. the f430 is my cruiser tho ill pick fights with it, it is kind of hard to measure its true performance like 0-60 because it lights the tires up all the way through 2nd gear
EDIT --- here are some screen shots i took
