has anyone tried hardcore mode ? you should morty and then while cruising press ctrl+g. what is hardcore mode supposed to be ? i cant do burnouts as easy when im in it. maybe it is supposed to be the most realistic

I found a good way to make $450,000 in under 10 minutes. Just do the "reach 170mph" challenge 30 times.

@ BrontoX: IMO, the Audi TT is the best class F car to have.

I just purchased a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo about an hour ago (Fresh off the lot) because someone bought my F430 (Only took a couple hours to sell for $150K, didn't lose anything

). Handles a lot better than the Z06 but I love the Z06's engine sound

Anyone have any ideas on a really good class E car? I have an untuned Nissan 350Z and it's not that great...

if you get the stage 3 kit for the s7 it will have 1000 hp making it the most powerful car in the game, but also very difficult to control sometimes.
btw - does anybody else have this problem .... i select a race/challenge and every race brings up mission honolulu i select start and then the camera just sits there spinning around looking at the pavement

then i have to quit the game to get out of it

Sounds like a pretty amusing problem, but no, I haven't gotten it. A problem I'm having is when the road is going up a hill, my car 'falls' in the ocean where there's supposed to be real ground and I have to wait 5 seconds for my car to respawn there and the road to generate itself in the area behind the hill. I can't even win some races because I either fall or have to stop at the top of the hill before continuing

As for making money, I just do the 140 mph in heavy traffic thing. I can't seem to get a hand on the 170 mph in heavy traffic one, I've only gotten bronze. the 140 mph works quite well as I make $100K - $120K every 10 mins.

Why is everybody choosing the CC8S instead of the CCR?

BTW if I am not mistaken the CCR has more then 1000 bhp when tuned.

The Nissan Skyline GTR is a fast E class car, but am not sure if you have it on the PC.

I don't really know wich cars I have at this moment, I know I have more then 50 cars and 10 houses.

A Muscle car house with ZO6, C6 Conv, Viper SRT10 (and convertible) CTS-V, GTO, Saleen S7 TT, Chrysler ME-four twelve

And several other cars including 2 lexus, a Audi A3 and RS4, Skyline GTR

i dont think the skyline is in the pc version, maybe in other platforms it is. and as far as i know there is only the CC8S

I'm gonna try the hardcore mode one of the nearest days, but is there any way to go into hardcore mode after loading my profile, or do I have to restart the game if I want to change to/from hardcore mode?
And what does Ctrl+G do?

Hardcore mode is the most extreme setting, no driving aid at all... Not sure about realism tho, cars fly extremely long when using hardcore mode...

I have to do that a few times... Got myself a $840000 fine, twice... That left a nasty scar in my bank account...

Afaik, the CCR isn't available for PC, and neither is the Skyline... And it's really frustrating

ouch ! 840K fine. when in hardcore mode if you press ctrl + g it brings up a little display on the right. and it tells you what your shocks are doing, your throttle, which tires have traction and which ones have none and it also tells you which way your car is pulling (g's). and im sure by now you all know about the chronograph right ?

I find it fairly easy to control but it just understeers like a donkey. When exploring roads, I use a level 3 S7 to blast over straight roads, and a level 3 Enzo (Used a level 3 F430 before) on mountain and twisty roads.

Had a little fun with the Enzo by throwing it into a powerslide and overtaking a CLK-DTM.

Hey guys, just wondering if my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop would be able to run TDU decently because from the feedback in this thread it looks to be an awesome game - I'm really convinced to buy the game on PC.

If you wanna get the best car in each group, check the worldwide rankings for a specific group race, like "E" for example. You will find the best rankings with almost the same car.

@ Ryu: You need at least 8 GB of memory and a minimum of 2.40 GHz CPU. I have that and the game runs quite laggy for me, unless I'm on remote roads with only 1 other online player in range.

@ TheStig: The PC version only has the CC8S for the time being. There is also no Skyline. But there is a Lexus dealer and when using the "Buy" option under "Trading", there is the manufacturer "RUF" listed even though there are no RUFs in the game yet.

By the way, would most agree that an S7 for $20K more than a CC8S was a good buy?

Guess it depends on your driving preferences. Personally I hate the handling of the S7; much prefer the CC8S. And CC8S level 3 tuned will do approx 260MPH - suppose there isn't that much in it...

i just got TDU but i need to upgrade the ram with the same problem as stalker...

i should be playing by next week hopefully.

and btw, will a 2.8 ghz celeron 333 d work fine? i mean .30 seems to be healhlty enough.

Yeah, they recommend 2.4 GHz so you should be able to run the game better than me.

i find the ratings for each car are somewhat conservative for example a stage 3 f430 supposedly has a top speed of 211 i think ive had mine to 220. and its really weird there arent any porsches or bmw's

Video RAM would that mean the game will jump or what? btw i don't think the website i tested my computer on picked up my 2nd Graphics Card....
