im wondering what do you need to make your board sli ready ? i know obviously you need a PSU that will handle two cards but what else another AGP slot if your card is AGP ?

You cannot "make" your motherboard SLI ready, it either is or isn't (that is, it has two PCIe x16 slots). Also SLI only applies to PCIe motherboards, not AGP.

A ''SLi Ready'' board is a mobo with 2 PCI-E x16 slots and a SLi nVidia chipset.

Obviously if your card has an AGP slot, it doesn't have a PCI-E slot. As for the other slots, they are PCI for network cards, TV tuner or other peripherals.

Oh I beg to differ. My motherboard has both AGP and PCI-E.

Well those 4 white slots are obviouisly PCI ....NOT PCI-E

Also U need to have a motherboard that has 2 PCI-E slots....and a pair of the same
PCI-E graphic cards ...which both support SLI ;)

it's AGP 8X because i bought it long time ago when PCI-E wasn't so popular and 6800gt was one of the best on market ^^, if i was buying it now i'd sure take PCI-E version aswell as new motherboard and CPU

PSZeTa: Did you have fun setting up that DFI Motherboard, i've heard they can be an absolute s**t of a thing to setup. Is it True?

DFI boards are a bit picky on other hardware. You really need a good PSU, or it won't be stable.

Setting up is pretty straightforward. You can fine-tune the memory timings, not really for newbies. I just copied the timings over from someone that works at DFI, I hate setting memory timings.
