Hi, it's very cool that you found something like that. I dreamed from the beginning of this.

But a question: is it also possible to make this with traffic car? I hope you can help me. :)

why would you want to do it with a traffic car? you wouldn't be able to apply any performance parts on it or anything. i doubt you'd be able to apply any visual upgrades either

You guys are kings :)

In the individual car hex values, is it possible that part of it controls the body/ meshes, and another part controls the properties/ performance mods etc, meaning we replace just the body and viynal etc properties of the Cobalt with the Camaro, but leave behind the bit of code the determines the Cobalts performance stats and avalible mods?

Its a thought but I have no idea if it would work or not, or if its even possible.

I don't think you can, that seems to be stored somewhere else.

I foun a way to change the cars modifying the memory instead of the save file. I made a trainer, but I don't have the game here, so I have no idea if it works. If someone wish to try it mail me ( koffyr@gmail.com ) or wait until tomorrow to see if it does.

Only Cobalt and Punto so far, the others I took the ones Static told us about. I've been out all day today so I wasn't able to find any more.

Hmm, all I can see in all of the shots are only visual mods. What about performance tuning? Is this gonna be possible?

the performance must be at another place in the savegame
there must be a code for the body of the car and one for the performance and tuningoptions

You're right but sometimes I just have the feeling and want to drivea traffic car. ;)

The same is with a police car, I think it would be very cool to drive with it. :)

Since you can drive traffic cars, cement truck and police cars in the challenge series. It shouldn't be that hard to find le codes for the above cars?
But I don't know, this aint my thingie.

I've got a nearly complete list of nearly all cars.
Just need a little more time to sort it all out.
It includes some traffic and cop cars.

I'll post it ASAP

I think performance stats are stored within the car file, but i'm not too sure about it.
If you look at the bmw m3 gtr race versions, both the hex codes are nearly the same and I think both cars use the same car file, but performance is different.

open up the savegame in your hex editor, and go to address 6065 (hex). the value there should be 117AEEA6117AEEA6. if it's not, you entered a decimal address. just change that value to these numbers, save, open up the savegame editor and fix your checksum, and the car will be available in the car lot.

i hope that makes some amount of sense....
