well, come to think of it, all powerful mercedes (SL 500 and so one) of those days in the mid 90s were ONLY sold with Automatics. So makes sense.

It's just if you plan to take it on a track or drag strip, or in fact during winter, you'd want a manual. And heaven forbid, it breaks...

I've done 180km/h on a freeway once. Did it coz a riced up Honda Civic was pushing his luck. Damn ricers. I can go into more finer detail. Just aske me and ill tell it. :)

I've been driven at about 125 mph (in a Nissan Primera :o )

The fastest I've driven myself is... 45 mph! But, I'm still learning to drive (had my first lesson last week ).

I have no car :(
My father drive us 190kph once, with our old Seat Toledo... lol. In Spain the ways are not too good... and it is considered a crazy thing to drive +150kph. But now the roads are getting better. Now we have the new "Seat" Toledo (VW look-like mods)

I got a ride in my friends' brothers' rusty Civic Si down a backroad at 100MPH, probably the worst expirience I've had with a car consitering he was probably high as a kite and knew enough about driving to seriously try to pull a wheelie in an Integra.

My father's friend has a s55amg (500hp), Once he came home by that car, I have never dreamed that i would one day drive such a car, but i did! I' ve done 260km/h on an Autobahn(my self) i think it could go 300 or even more without the electronic limiter! But the acceleration of the car is more exciting than the speed (4,8s o-100km/h)

210 km/h in a saab 93 sport sedan (not maximum speed...the street was to end :D ...btw, excellent stability!)
165 km/h with a 206 1150cc :D
150km/h with my old Y10 (1150cc, 54 cv, less than 700 kg)...seems it fly!! :D

...but only when it's not dangerous (for other people)
btw I don't like speeding in straights, it's more funny to speed in curves...everyone is able to go straight :D

I wanna try a 3000 turbo engine :(
