Yes, if a deadline is missed, the car will open for bidding again and you can bid for the car at that stage. First in best dressed!!

after thinkin heaps, and going threw a few possible designs i decided to go threw the real zero2HERO, by keeping it looking similar just making it better along the way...
im very interested in seeing if other did the same or made 3 completly diff models

yo gt can u pull my bid out, i wana sit this comp out, got no time to design 3 cars, too much work, exams coming up as well, let me know when theres like a 1 car comp, and if u need any help managing the comps, u seem pretty busy mate.

Q, I think we'd have very similar approach. My take was this: I bought a golf, standard. Fitted some nice subtle stuff on it... Than I got richer, put a bit bigger wheels, better bumper, more quality paint... And in 3rd, I just added those little bits that show it as no more a street car, but both competition and show car. So my car in general terms remained virtually unchanged, just getting better a bit with every level. Made it more realistic.

We don't have to play through the whole game, do we? Can I just replace all level 3 parts with level 1/2 on an almost completed underground mode?

yeah Super, think that's what GT said. I think you can actually use all level 1 parts even on car of level 3. It's the otherway around that isn't allowed (i.e. level 3 stuff on level 1 cars).

'Body Parts and Rims: As stated, you must use body parts up to and including the level appropriate to the car your building. Stock parts are always allowed, parts from levels higher than the car are not allowed, unique parts are not allowed. '

Phew!! This one sure is sparking some chat isn't it? A guy has a bit of a lie down before breakfast and comes back to fins a whole conversation's taken place...

Ok, here goes..

Bronco has pulled out of the comp, people - something he refers to as 'Real Life' seems to be more important to him. Must say I have no idea what he's talking abouit, but fair enough. This means the the MX5 is open for bids!!!

Qyntel, UrQuattro - caught your posts about taking the 'purist' approach with this comp.. fantastic spirit guys!! And I gotta say - awesome efforts with your cars too dudes!

SuperRacer - There's no need to actually play the game at all with the comp. Just so long as you can put three cars together that fit the rules. Any parts up to and including level 1 on the first car, anything up to level 2 on the second, and any parts you want from the entire game on the level 3 car.

Vettemaster - your counterbid on the Supra is noted, but you might just want to bid the MX5 cuz it's now open. Koffy was talking earlier about wanting to be in it too - the first guy to bid will get the car!!

Hot Sauce - sorry, my bad and I've fixed the rules now. As you can appreciate, it took quite some time to put all that together and I guess I was thinking one thing about uniques at one stage and another thing later on...

Now hear this: Unique parts can be used in the comp, according to the list as shown in the rules. Certain uniques become available in the game earleir than others, so they are available to be used on earlier cars in the comp.

Here's the latest bidding list - despite all the chat in here, I haven't received many cars in the last 8 hours. Still I expect people are using their time windows to full advantange.

One point of note - please don't leave it right to the last minute to submit!! I can easily tell from your email when it was sent, so it's not a matter of timing, but please consider the (slim) chance that there's a problem with your car(s) and I need you to change something!!!

@Aschker - the comp will open in the showroom this Thursday (GMT) and will run until the following Wednesday.

@DrewBoi - Check the list above, all cars are spoken for, and I have already received SykoticAZN's entries for the S2000. The best you can do is hope that one of the cars not yet received (the bottom list) misses its deadline or the guy pulls out. In that case, the car will open back up for bidding and if you're the first to bid for it, you'll get it...

Yeh I agree the comps are looking good. I saw you and Summ have your little clash - I gotta say it was a little disappointing cuz I have a level of respect for both of you guys. Still, things are straight now it seems and no doubt you're both big enough to forgive and forget..

Hey, are Pearlescent paints unlocked with style points or do you win them as you progress through the game? Basically, I want to know if I can use the level 1 pearlescent paints on a level 1 car.

If you look at the paints you'll see three distinct groups - the top row of colours are the level 1 colours, the next two rows are level 2 and the bottom three rows are level three paints.

If you look at the gloss paints, notice that there are colours available at each level. However, flip to the metallic paints, and note that there are only colours available at levels 2 and 3. Pearlescent only has level three colours available.

Therefore, you can use paints like this in the comp...

Level 1 Car - Gloss Level 1 Only
Level 2 Car - Gloss Levels 1 & 2, Metallic Level 2
Level 3 Car - Gloss Levels 1, 2 & 3, Metallic Levels 2 & 3, Pearlescent Level 3
