It's more like eh.. Soldiers: Heroes of WWII or Comany of Heroes. But you don't have whole units/squads under your command but a small group of commandos (dying is a bad case). It's isn't really a RTS, but also not a shooter. Check some screens and maybe you find out how it's played.

FPS ACTION:
FEAR - Probably the best combat in FPS game since original HL and to date, not to mention the best AI, story is thrilling also.
HALF-LIFE Saga - The best story and mood in any game, ever. Period.
DOOM 3 - The best SciFi horror in interactive form.
HERETIC/HEXEN2 - The nicest fantasy action you can get. Will emerge you into its virtual world very fast. Very memorable games.
QUAKE 3 - Deathmatch King, weather you like it or not.
BLOOD (1) - If you're fan of horror FPS and don't mind older gfx, try it out. Caleb is even better than Duke.
SERIOUS SAM (1) - First serious croatian game

. Full success! Largest battles you'll ever experience in FPS.

3D ACTION:
DEVIL MAY CRY (1) - The game that made me buy PS2. Forget Blade, Dante rocks! Sequels aren't so interesting. Number 1 3D action in my book.
HERETIC 2 - Game that makes Tomb Raider look like chess. No present 3D action game for PC can match combat swiftness in H2. Thrillride!
MDK/MDK2 - Very memorable and atmospheric games. Excellent soundtrack (made by Academy Award Winner!), cool characters and even better games!
AMERICAN McGEE's ALICE - This game is so twisted that you'll find it sometimes really scary. It was 2 years number 1 on my game list.
SPLINTER CELL - Superheros to rescue the day? Naaahh... Sam will do. Better than MGS. If you have grafic card and free time (DON'T play this in school/stres time!) must try!

RTS:
WARCRAFT 2 - Classic. Don't die before you play this game.

WARCRAFT 3/FROZEN TRONE - Sequel of a legend. Guess what, Legend*2.
C&C - Father of RTS. Even marriages fell apart cause of this game.

C&C: RED ALERT 1/2 - Cold war turns out to be hot. Sequel even better.
C&C: GENERALS / ZERO HOUR - The last really funny good RTS.
TOTAL ANNIHILATION - SciFi theme, 2 sides, various planets, MAANY missions and even more weapons. Try it out if you didn't!
STARCRAFT / BROOD WAR - Better than WarCarft??? Judge for yourself. WHERE THE F.. IS SEQUEL BLIZZARD????!!!!

RPG:
DIABLO 1/2 - Action RPGs. Absolute Legends and musts for hack-n-slash RPG players. My best RPG!
BALDURS GATE - Not bad, but too slow.
ELDER SCROLLS (MORROWIND/OBLIVION) - The best RPG money can buy.

RACING:
NFS: HOT PURSUIT - NFS that made me like racing games. Find out why.

NFS: HIGH STAKES - The best just got better!
NFS: UNDERGROUND - The hardest NFS! Good I say!
NFS: MOST WANTED - BY FAR THE BEST NFS. Hot Pursuit meets Underground! Two best sequels in one! One of my 3 best games ever!
GRAN TURISMO 4 - One more reason to buy PS2! Wanna realism and lot of rides? Here it is!
FORZA - If this game isn't in your XBox collection, tomorrow go and buy the game. That's an order!

But the game i'm into now is FEAR. I'm loving it so far and it seems it will only get better in my estimations.

NFS:U2, lot of fun, better than carbon imo
silent hunter 3, graphics are great spend hours playin it

1. Freedom Fighters

My favourite game ever ever ever.

Ever. The ability to recruit fighters and race through cities mowing down armies of men. Running through sewers pursuing a shared dream, dropping down sewers to base, to plan the next mission. The thrill when you make it to the next checkpoint without being seen. This game is phenomenal. It took ages to complete too, as I had to do each bit perfectly. I recommend this to anyone.

2. Hitman 2

Second favourite, or maybe even joint favourite. The guns, the plot, the vast array of landscapes, the thrill when you reach the end, having completed the whole game in at least professional mode. Actually silent assassin I was most proud of, on the last level. Redemption at Gontrano. Or something. A fantastic level set in a church, with 20 guys with laser sited machine guns, of whom you had to kill, starting with nothing but a pistol.

3. Doom

The second game I played, after Wolfenstein 3D. It had a special place in my heart, and after Djiel sent me the remake, that place has been warmed again

Other Fantastic Games:

I love playing my bro on this game. Just so damn addictive. Playing the vs races, then a whole grand prix, then backwards vs races and a backwards grand prix

and of course battlesâ€¦such a fun party game. Donâ€™t get me started on the voices!

Luigiâ€™s infamous â€˜Mammmmma miaaaaaâ€™ when I hit him with a red shell lmao

â€¢ The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Oh my god do not get me started, I used to talk for hours to friends about how close this game is to real life. The depth of interaction with characters, the path to good or evil, the amount of side quests prior to killing Dagoth Ur! Man, addictive as hell.

â€¢ The Sims

I hate the actual gameplay, but used to spend hours, or even days creating the perfect crib. From Victorian mansions, to LA style villas, I tried it all out. My fave creation was this tuscan villa with a balcony over looking a hedge maze! Happy times.

â€¢ GTA III

â€˜Sheâ€™s on fireâ€¦â€™ lol I used to listen to this station all the time when I hijacked Diablo stallions from the red lightning district. The music was great, the storyline was very original, my favourite island had to be Staunton island. Even though no motorbikes, or helicopters, I think everyone knows deep down that this is the best 3D gta game. Probably because it was the first one â€“ so special, remaining in a special place in our hearts

â€¢ Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast

The music I remember particularly well. Then the lightsaber battles. Then the storyline. I could go on forever, this game rocked hard. The puzzles, the weapons, the landscapes, such variation!

â€¢ Tony Hawkâ€™s Pro Skater 3

My favourite skating game, due to the fact that itâ€™s just about skating. The goals are all related to the skill of skateboarding, and nothing else and I loved the simplistic 7-world layout. My favourite level is the airport, seeing if I could get a combo from the escalator to the flag rail

â€¢ Midnight Club II

The best underground racing game ever. Fantastic storyline, amazing car choice, glorious open-plan races where you could drive anywhere you wanted, you can run over people, the nos actually looked realistic, just fabulous

. And of course the locations, L.A, Paris and Tokyo.

Oh yeah and the motorbikes! The feeling when you unlock a motorbike and learn how to do a nosie! The possibilities in this game were endless.

â€¢ Carmageddon

Argueably the best of the series was the first one. The variety of landscapes and of course the police cars which chased you around, it was hilarious when you smashed them up! The car choice was much better too.

â€¢ Mafia

A fantastic storyline, very original plot. It felt like a movie whilst playing, it was so realistic, with the speed limit especially, and the police who pulled you over. Not to mention the climax of the last level o_o

â€¢ Unreal Tournament 2003

I used to love playing on the face3 map, where I climbed to the top of the pyramid, took out my lightning rifle and sniped for hours on end.
