Has this topic turned into.... tell anything you hate about your country?

I thought it was about telling about your country in general...
and by that I mean... mainly the positive side

We all know Bush is a Idiot.... so

Look both sides did lie in the pre election period. what else is new... probable the way Americans do politics....

Why do some people bring stuff like Gay mariage up to the discussion.... what has that to do with all this.... does that make a country or state BAD...

if that's the case I live in a country on the edge of apocolypse.

Being against stuff like that does not make you have good morals... it only makes you BLIND to what other people need.
Morals for a leader is not what is best for you... or how you can get the ignorant part of the sociaty as your voters.
It is about what is best for your country/ the world.

I don't think much people in europe truely HATE Bush.
It is more that we don't like the fact that he pulls us in things we don't really want but are obligated to do.

I can't give a answer to the question why they left people there to die (wich is a known fact) I don't think anyone can give a answer to that.

But what is a fact is that NO ONE did anything to prevent something this big... could it have been prevented.... yes and they knew it could....
There was even a program on discovery about how the city is in a hurricane area and is also below sealevel. and the risks involved and possibilities what to do about it (they looked at the systems in The Netherlands as options)
and that program is not recent. Sientist knew a storm could devastate the city but NOONE did anything!

James I don't know why you started with the whole racial things... I can't find anything posted by ANYONE that said Bush is a Racist or you for that matter....

I think you should calm down... you are over the edge atm... you are seeing things mate... truely.

I wish I never seen this topic... I tried to resist this... but I could not.
I tried to keep each part as short as possible cause in some cases I could write a page full!

Hey dude. America was founded on morals and the Bible. America was the most prosperous nation until that idiot Darwin and people like him made those theories that are completely untrue which turned people away from what we were founded on. There was even a saying from someone that stated, "America is great because it is good. If America ceases to be good it will cease to be great." And that is what happened to America. That's why I hate it so much.

Why do you have to say things like that? Darwin is a champ.

Discussions like these make me really glad that I don't live in America.
Anyway . . . let's try to make it all nice now :)

They estimate that cities like New York, Jo'berg, Sydney, Cairo and London will soon become so big that they'll engulf smaller towns around them. Megacities' CBD's would be 50km in diameter and should be able to hold 20million+ pple in total
thats almost the total population of some entire countries...

have you ever BEEN in Japan?

cause it can be pretty damn hot there..

I have to agree with the people that like/love downunder...

Australia got the right policy.... don't care to much about what the other countries are doing... just keep it nice and quiet...

I love australia... the only problem is the 24hour flight... cause I find flying utterly BORING

You guys have no idea why I want to go to Japan. It's because I like the culture, art, and several car companies are situated in Japan like Toyota, Nissan, and Subaru.

Denver to Tokyo would be longer than Brisbane to Tokyo I know that much for sure. I mean just look at a globe. Measring with my hand it takes from my thumb to the tip of my index finger from Brisbane. As for Denver to Tokyo my whole hand didn't even reach. I think Japan is cool. The crouded cities are a little deterant, but the landscapes and artistic buildings and calligraphy are what draw me the most.

you can't measure a flight time with your fingers over the map

2 reasons a plane doesn't fly a streight line on a map but a curved line (has to do with the earth being round... not going into details.. cause I will bore you guys with that) and and distances that look short can have a longer flighttime... simply because not all long distance flights go streight to the destination. but stop at a other airport.

for instance when I want to go to Sidney (wich I will do... but time will tell when) the plane stops at Singapore. while that is completely out of course... (looking at it in a streight line).

Oh boy . . . I've been to Japan, twice.

It's not that great. There is way too many people, the toilets are gross and wierd, and it gets VERY HOT in summer. I have spent many sleepless summer nights on a tatami floor in Japan  But it does look nice.

and btw, we have Toyota and Mitsubishi factories in Australia too

Edit: I forgot about the bullet trains! They rock! :D

1: he didn't lock up the brakes. He accidentally jammed the gearbox whilst downshifting.

2: Ford occupies the first two spots on the starting grid.

3: we have a Ford vs. Holden thread already. Go and find it.

doesn't matter about who occupies the front grid.... it all depends on WHO can hold first
