It is a question that has no answer. You are the one with the money. Go look to see what is even available at a store near you. With your low budget, go for Altec's or Creatives.

Lol... 5 Years Child. Wow. anyways, Nice subwoofer. I was thinking of buying one myself so I dont have to run the lower ranges through my Bose. ( I like to preserve my speakers, not blowem.)

I have the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system...its pretty nice for $179.99....subwoofer has a good thumb and no distortion at all

Image

for this system though, i dont us the 2 satelites, i hooked up two larger phillips stereo system speakers that are like 12" high.....they sound alot nicer....i only use the satelites because the controls are still on them so they are on my desk, but the sound goes through the phillips speakers

SPECS:

FREQUENCY RESPONSE:
31Hz - 20kHz
POWER HANDLING:
FTC Rated Per Satellite: 55 watts/channel @ ≤ 1% THD, 200Hz - 1KHz (Note: all channels driven)
FTC Rated Subwoofer: 50 watts @ ≤ 7% THD, 40 - 100 Hz
Max Burst Power*: 200 watts @ ≤ 1% THD (Note: all channels driven)
*Maximium Burst Power indicates the actual power this amplifier will deliver to the speakers under normal operating conditions. While the FTC power rating indicates power available on a continuous, long-term basis, multi-channel systems do not rely on that type of power. Instead, the amplifier is called upon to deliver large, short-term bursts of power to be able to support today’s digital music, games and movie formats. In addition to the required FTC power rating, we have provided the maximum burst output as a better indication of the product’s true performance.
MAXIMUM ACOUSTIC OUTPUT:
106dB SPL

0.75" Poly compression driver

Hey, anyone got any experience with this system. Sounded good in the store but I'd like to what you guys know about it. I like the fact that it's 5-cd and I can put my SD memory cards in it. Oh and just to let you guys know I'm not a bigtime audiophile so I don't really care about getting the best and highest priced items.

I was just pointing out that they used NFS:HS as an example of great sound, while there is an iPod Video right next to it. An ancient game next to a modern utility. Meh...

I thought you were saying that the speaker system is as old as the game in the screen or something.
Well i actually thought it might be an old model because it was so cheap but the box suggests using the new X-Fi soundcards with the speaker system so it can't really be an old set..
