Send it to papa... let's take a look see.
Btw - what version of max are you using?

Here is the link to download the .max file. And I'm actually using a student version of Autodesk VIZ 2006, which - from what I can tell - is the same thing as 3DS.

Problem solved!!
Problem
Well, it appears sir you have the case of "overlapping polys". To see this, select the "element" from editable mesh list, then click on the model, and drag it to one side. You'll notice that you have somehow created two models, one on top of each other (one of which is inverted), which evidently causes havoc with the rendering. Unfortunately this also appears to be the case for every single one of your models, including the nuts (have fun sorting that out).
I should've really spotted this problem earlier on, as it happened to me once too. Anyhoo, jobs done.

So... How do I fix it?
-EDIT-
Ah, I got it. That's pretty interesting. Must have something to do with exporting models from SketchUp.
Alright, that's some good shiny.
By the way, how do you get those nice, soft shadows? Is that the GI?

Try a skylight for those soft shadows... but ye its pretty much GI.

Must be the GI then, because there's a skylight in that scene.
-EDIT-
Hey, lookie what I just got in the mail!
California State Fair Competition Honorable Mention for Industrial and Technology Education
Got it for my Champ car.
Though I must admit, I'm a bit surprise I only got Honorable Mention after seeing last year's first place winner. Ah well.

Here's a render of my car in Live for Speed.
Anyone here can help me do a render of a 1994 Toyota MR2? I need it to help a friend design his car.

Those are huge wheels.
Otherwise, very nice. The car itself is a bit plan (could use some aero bits just to give it some flare), but the model is fantastic. I especially like the headlights.

Haz, because you are the only one working with Google SketchUp i want to know how can you save in 3DS format cuz i can't find it. If not then i would need some help with how to make building textures in 3DS Max.
PS: I am trying to make a (modern) Hotel for my English project (it's about advertising but i want to design my hotel rather than make a presentation on one existing hotel)

I don't use Google SketchUp (SketchUp 6), I use SketchUp 5. By downloading the free version of Google SketchUp, you can't export to .3DS. Which is why I bought SketchUp 5. ...Yup, paid for it and everything.
If you send me the file, I can export it for you, though.
