Okay, I droped a new MoBo in my PC cuz I deleted the BIOS on the other. Got an OEM copy of Vista Home Premium and installed it. I've had problems with this MoBo even while I waS trying to install it. Now whenever windows tries to start the boot screen with the scroling status bar just sits there untill it freezes or restarts itself. I've tried everything I know to get it to work but it never does.

I get it from my brother, if you want my advice... google it, go to some computer modding forums, and take your computer apart to see how it works. I built my first computer by eye comparison after I took it apart.krazyammo wrote:actually family have no computer problem, ut i just wanna know how you guys know so much about video card, motherboard, Cpu, Cpu speeds ect. cuz me and my friend want to upgrade our computer and we don't know what to do and what parts are good to run........friend just wants to have a better pc and me well i wanna upgrade cuz one 1 reason: stop wasing money on game consoles. but my dad doesn'nt want me to upgrade the computer for some apperant reason

About my problem... Has anyone even noticed a difference in Vista RC1 and Vista RTM?
Another problem: I've never had this with Vista on any machine I've used (except one.) But whenever I go to put Media Player's Visualation on full screen this is all I get!
But media center (Top) works fine...

You kind of have to or else you'll end up like my sister
Does anyone know how to fix the problem with Vista where after the computer goes into sleep the computer freezes?
I've already upgraded my video driver.

OK before I ask this, so we can get this out of the way, I know vista is a resource hog and I'm not deleting it, mi=ainly because I bought an OEM version. Now wihh that out of the way, Vista normaly idles about 30% CPU and 45% RAM (Maybe with one window open), but lately (as in today and yesterday night) it has been running at 100% CPU (non-stop, I've only dipped down to 97% in the past 30 hours) and 60% RAM. Even Most Wanted is messing up, where as when I first installed MW would run perfectly on a 1200 resoultion with everything maxed out. I've searched for spyware... found none... ended background tasks... no help at all. I have no idea at all, but this is really getting annoying. PLEASE HELP ME!
EDIT: I'm defragmenting hard drive now but i see no point in running a chkdsk if Vista has onyl been running for 3 days.
OMG! I think th edefragment did it cuz it just went back down. I guess I installed to many things at once.

Ya, at first I thought it was just overheating so I cut it off while I went to work (6 hours) but it was still doing it when I cut it back on. But now I can run Most Wanted on high without it crashing or skipping. You know, the 30 FPS i was getting really takes me back to the integrated graphics days I used to have. lol
Offtopic: nice sig.
I keep blowing out the fuse in my Surround sound, (most likely cuza I have 2 150Watt speakers and it was only meant to power 80 watts)... what should I do?
