I just got hired at Hall Dodge/Chrysler as a line tech, since it's through my votech program(AYES), I've got a mentor who's a master ASE certified Viper Technician He's cool, the first car I worked on(last tuesday) was a 98 Viper GTS... silver w/ graphite greyish stripes... the BEST color scheme I've ever seen on one IMO.

I really want a Viper now

I'm considering selling my Camaro, buying a 2000+ Neon(not SRT), and just having a daily commuter to save up for a while so I can move out of the house, pay bills and everything, build up a nice tool collection, and hopefully by age 28 have a Viper GTS

I know an automotive technician. He's awesome at tuning cars.

Are you talking about a technician... or a mechanic? Difference: the technician is ASE certified, works at a good dealership, can do stuff quickly and correctly, and works SMART... not HARD.



I'm 17 with a 401K plan and full health/dental insurance. I'd say I'm headed in the right direction.

You can make $80k+ per year if you work fast enough.

asuming we are talking about mechanics? im not one, but my best mate is and so is my uncle. so im not exactly stuck when i need a car fixing.

Im looking into doing for a job, you know working at a tire store or something to learn the trade then maybe i might go further, like a college degree or something... I have alot of ideas about my later life....

im just going to college to do fashion and clothing. simple

And can end up working in a F1 pit garage.

My dad used to work for a tuning company who'd tune most things with engines.

He worked on things from Tanks to Old F1 Cars.

The security guard failed to report in once (when the tanks were in the shop) and there were about 15 armoured tanks outside the building in 10 minutes

i work at the wal-mart tire store, but i don't really think i'm a tech. even though that's a title given to those in the shop. changing oil and tires hardly defines a tech. but according to the all mighty wal-mart i'm considered one

I do most of the car work myself. Years of taking things to bits (like my University Corrado) and tweaking friends cars, a little hit and miss, and I can do most things myself nowadays. Changed the clutch on the Audi, which was entertaining, and have previously stripped a VW 1.8 16v to the ground trying to find a fault in it.
I'm no auto-tech but I like the hands on approach, and all the mods on the M3 (mirrors, zorst, remap, intake, head unit + wiring, sus drop) was done between me and the friend I sold it to.
