Can anybody give me any guidelines on making cool designs?

The vinyls not only have to go with the colour of the car, but they also need to go with the body...
And don't use too many colours, stick to a simple colour scheme. Sometimes it's also best to use only one or two vinyls. If you want me to show you some examples, just hollar.

and there is a tool now that lets you make any vinyl you want!

what tool? as in design ur own vinyl????? ill have to install the game again...

yeah, it's in utils section. It's a bit tricky to save, but once you get it, it's not problem. Check out a thread in Editing. Viper helped me out.
