NFS:MW Customization?

I'm playing NFS:MW and i have found that the game has much lower visual customization even than that of NFS:U.
There are not any bumbers, exhausts, head/tail lights, neon, doors, sound systems, breaks' caliber paint etc.

Is that real or my game's version is limited?

That's just how it is. Much more racing oriented, instead of modding.

Yes, I was hoping you could at least have more than 1 layer of vinyls.

I have nothing to compare it too (no NFSU2 or MC3), but I think it could have been improved.
