Passenger space is overrated, anyway. :)

To quote Top Gear magazine, the R8 is "more involving" and "fantastic in a way that will appeal more to true car enthusiasts". If I had the money, I'd stick with my slower, more expensive, two seat R8 (especially in V10 forn, where it looks to be faster than the GT-R, at least in midrange), tell the mates to take their own damn car, and spend the rest of my time grinning like a loon, knowing that theres not a lot more fun I could be having.

GT-R. Excercise in technology? Yes. Fantastically fast? Yes. Brillian piece of engineering? Yes. Drivers car? Umm, no?

Boys, boys, be quiet...

True, the GT-R can fit more people and is more 'practical'. You guys are comparing the wrong cars. The 360 Stradale (or Challenge) is a brilliant track car, very communicative and definately fun to drive. The GT-R is fast, but lacks the 'touch' of driver involvement that makes it a brilliant driver's car. If you really want to compare the GT-R to something, try the GT3 or 911 Turbo. If you want something that's competitive with a 360 Challenge, maybe a Gallardo?

Remember; Nissan created a technological marvel to contend with Porsche and to succeed the R34.

Ferrari designed a car that could whip around a track while giving the driver the time of his life.

And that, my friends, is the difference.

Also considerably cheaper than an R8? Yes.

Jesus, do you realize what's going on here? It's miles away from ''performance per dollar''. It's the overall driving experience, not cheap 0-60/Nurburgring bragging rights. D: Steelsnake's on a completely different topic.

Not to mention that the majority here hasn't even touched any of these mentioned cars, even with a 10-foot stick in reach.

Yes I do realise what's going on here. And if you have noticed I haven't even touched on the GT-Rs Nurburgring time, cause then the Chevrolet ZR1 and SRT10 ACR will ALSO be brought into this conversation. What I am trying to say is that the GT-R and the R8/GT3 RS/360 are from completely different price ranges and therefore markets. The R8 is marketed as a supercar you can use every day, and the GT3 RS and 360 Challenge are full-on track cars with the latter not even being road-legal, and the former having such silly things as a roll-cage for "every day" use. The GT-R on the other hand is a cheap supercar (kind of like its predecessors) that is also somewhat useable (not as much as the R8, but anyway) on the road, and with technology that has never been seen on cars before. I also realise that the GT-R is not designed with "overall driving experience" in mind but that is beside the point!

Side note: [sarcasm]I have also touched the R8. It was a very good experience when the alarm wasn't going off[/sarcasm]

Do you mean that you currently have the cash for a Camaro, or that it is a more realistic choice?

You can't even afford a Porsche 911 and you wanna talk about Koenigsegg? Unless you're living in virtual reality, I hate to burst your bubble, but I doubt it is highly possible.

I might be becoming slightly mad, but I have fallen in love with the new learning car: the Mazda 2 Neo. Much better than that stupid Corolla I had to drive with my previous tutors.

Ooh, that's a pretty nice-looking little car - why don't we have any of those? All the latest gen. Mazdas, here, have that stupid-looking grille. :(

The older Mazda 3s and 6s were okay, but the new ones have those stupid-looking headlights. Grille isn't as bad, but the headlights are just cheap-looking, like a lot of new cars. Again, too much chrome and too much of an attempt to look "modern".

The new Mazda 6 looks pretty good to me, however the 3's 'smiley face' grille kinda puts me off...
