anyone using 7900GT?

Post by mick1 »

This is my system

AMD 3200+
MB: ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe
RAM 1 GB
VGA XFX GF 7900GT
HD SATAII 200GB
Sound On board
Screen Res 1280X1024
NV Driver and Directx Updated

When playing NFSMW the framerate keep going up and down between 30 to 60fps in the game. Is this normal for you? By the way, I reduced the graphic details, AA and AF but it helps little bit.

i use a evga 7900 GT CO Superclock card with everything on max settings, and i get the same results. its a shame becuz i would think this card would be able to handle this game a at a constant 60 frames but oh well.

I'm thinking the lack of sound card may be a problem. Most Wanted seems to be really hard on the sound processing. A good sound card would offset this by quite a bit.

nothing to do with soundcard, I have creative audigy 2 zs and 2x Geforce 6600GT with SLI enabled, sometimes it does that too, very annoying. The most hateful thing is the game does that randomly. I think it's a bug.
