i have an ancient 500MB hard drive somewhere in my closet. it's too ancient for my computer. i'm pretty sure it operates on MwDMA or PIO mode rather than the much faster UDMA. if i plug it in, all my other devices become useless
LOL, dude, NOTHING from MICROSOFT ever works correctly....i just finished reformatting my pc and everytime i close out IE, it freezes my pc a bit.......and it's prevented me from running the advisor, but needless to say i have an alienware, and the last time i remember being able to run the advisor, it said my pc was ahead of the best, don't know how that's possible, but that's what it said

Same here, but i dont agree that Oblivion runs fine with every single aspect maxed out at 1024x768, it just wont play with more than 25 FPS (outdoors). Trust me, even with a 7950GX2, the game only runs at 34.6 FPS outdoors.
Depends A LOT where you are.
I have basicly everything on max except AF is off on 1024x768.
It's fine outdoors to a certain point.
If there isn't a lot of vegetation around and i only have one enemy to fight it still works fine.
Might be fine even with 3 enemies to fight if there's not much vegetation.
But if there's a lot of different flowers and mushrooms (stuff you can pick) on a grass field the fps drops to a point where the game is basicly not playable anymore.
Even if you're not fighting anyone.
The point is...it drops to 15 FPS sometimes, which is extremely bad, but yeah, i agree that it depends a lot on your location, and the grass length really affects the FPS.
