Using the MWtex:

I can get the "cars" .bin file to load up into mwtex but everytime i try and export a vinyl to my hdd an error pops up saying the infamous " mwtex.exe has generated errors and will need to be restarted ".

Ive downloaded a new mwtex file and restarted my pc but i still get the same error. Is there a newer version than whats on the utility and save game page?

Thanks, Brian

Thanks for the reply Dark.

Im not real sure. Im getting the file off of the utility page that directs me to a mirror.
This is what i just found at NFSPlanet.com. Same problems with this file.

Is it possible that it might be conflicting with my Automotive EFI bin editor? I do my own EFI tuning on my 91' Trans Am and one of the programs i use is TunerPro RT. Inside that program i use a hex .bin editor to change paramaters in my ECM that is not yet addressed in the GUI part of the tuning software.

Name: MWTex 0.02.1 (incl. Tutorial)
Size: 290 KB
Author: Loque
Description: With this program you can open the .bin files of Need for Speed Most Wanted and export the contained textures DDS or RAW files. To edit use Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop with the DDS Plugin from NVIDIA. With the latest version (Update 2006-05-01) it is also possible to import the DDS files.
The ZIP-file contains a tutorial to create your own vinyls.

Update 2006-05-14: Update to version 0.02.1
fixed aligning problem; unfortunately it's still not possible toimport decals

Thanks, Brian

well i ran the version of MWtex you sent me and it runs fine. i exported files to my hardrive and imported files so if you have any background programs running then i would try closing them.
