Jerky FMV in NFSMW

Post by SYFX »

Hi guys, long time closet reader of NFSU.net, recently re-installed NFSMW and all the FMV sequeneces of the storyline are juddery, Im using V1.3 of NFSMW with the No Traffic mod (http://www.nfsunlimited.net/download/?type=Utils&id=107)
I run the game in 800x600 with lowest detail (funky graphics are just not possible on this POS card.)

Spec:

AMD XP 2600+ @2.08GHz
1.5GB DDR 333 RAM
Nvidia GForce FX5200 W/ Latest drivers

Any ideas?

What's different about this install compared to the previous? Also, did anything change in your video and general system config since then?

well, i had some serious pc problems the last few months, mostly hdd failing, but other nothing much has changed really, on the last install i *think* i was using an ATI 9200 card, as opposed to the FX5200 im using now.

Roll back your driver to 81.98 (or download it if you haven't had it previously) and then it should work fine. I'll grab the link for you in a second...

- EDIT -
Here we go http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html

Im gonna try Switching my GFX card back to the ATI Radeon 9200 Pro 2, this should rule out driver issues with the Nvidia card.

works perfectly now, guess it must have been the nvidia card afterall, i forgot to mention i was using a older version of the nvidia drivers, and still had problems, so i updated to the newest and still had problems. well, all fixed now, thanks Gravedigger and GT3 -- much appreciated.
