Without buying upgrades for your computer? Hmm... well, you could buy a new computer. :P

I can see the future!!...This thread is bound to be Locked

EDIT : Also a good processor and enough RAM....

Bah, you can't give someone partial info. and expect them to get the whole piture. Good quality doesn't require just a good graphics card; it also requires a good processor, motherboard, RAM, and sound card, believe it or not.

any more comments?

Not really. Software tweaking of anykind will always give only a marginal performance increase.

More performance requires better components, no going around that...

OMG!

And you're saying the game actually runs on this?!

The best you can do with least money spent is increasing RAM!
256MB and the onboard video eats 32MB(at least) is just plain stupid!

You can still try and install some addon video card: ATi 9200 and nVidia FX 5200 can be found for less than $50 and will do just fine for NFSMW and many other games!

what about software tweaks?

Software tweaks wont increase ur graphical performance, mate...

If u had a seperate graphic card u could overclock it..using softwares..
but not with in built cards...
Just get a new one...low end ones dont cost much....

Man, i cant imagine you running FEAR, the only thing that will happen is that your computer will fry.

Seriously, you need an upgrade, at least for the RAM and the video card.

If you say graphical performance (High FPS + High quality), then you need a good processor, motherboard and RAM together with a GFXcard..

If you say graphical quality only, then you only need a graphics card.

u can get the GeForce FX 5200 for Rs. 2,500 in Nehru Place. Also try to get your RAM increased. Processor-wise it's ok for the while...hell 'm running Most Wanted on 800 Mhz :D. Agreed it's a bit painful but for you it should be fine.

Integrated Graphics = crap. The graphics card shares memory with your RAM, meaning you loose out on RAM as well. With your current system, there's no way to improve performance without adding additional hardware. My first recommendation: get a good standalone graphics card. Then get a RAM upgrade, and last of all, the processor.

GeForce is a name for nVidia graphics cards. GeForce 4 is a serie. The 5500 is from the 5-series, and the 6800 from the 6-series.

So no GeForce 4 6800GT, because that doesnt make sense. Hope that cleared it up for you. :9

Whats the holdup???and i got a 64bit intel extreme graphics card and 256 m.b. of ram and 1.90. ghz processor which meets the minimum specs for most wanted.and which gfx card shouldi buy to get smooth framerates and motionblurr etc on my p.c on games such as nfs?

Even with a 6800 GT u cant run the game at full force and get like 25 fps max...

That is why I got a 7800 GTX..heheh

BTW try reverting to MW version 1.0...whatever it is that u had.
What I dont get it is..how can the game run runs better on high then on low :P

It must be something to do with ur intel setup...IMO

Wrong, one of my friends has an XFX 6600 xXx version with a 2 GBs of RAM, he can run FEAR with everything maxed out, ( and i mean everything, even AA & AF), and he gets 35 average FPS.

with my 6800 gt and 768 ram soon to be 1 gb i can run fear at max except for AA which i like off

Bah, how can you play without AA? Though I'd rather not have AF on, gives a better sense of perspective.
