Sweet!

Ok so four member so far. Once we get 15 members, the music we all listen to will start appearing on the group's charts and so on. Should be interesting to see what those end up looking like! :)

Kind of, and lots more. The main hook is something called 'AudioScrobbler' - a media player plugin for all the major media players that sends the tags of the tracks you listen to on your PC to the Last.FM database. From there, the site compiles charts and stats that appear on your user page. Check mine out for an example.

From there, you can find other people that are listening to the same or similar stuff, the site will make recommendations for other music you might like, you can look up info on the artists and tracks, etc etc and you can also stream a lot of tracks direct from the site.

Last.FM is a huge site with thousands of members with one thing in common - a love of music. It's really worth checking out.

Oh, and it's free. :)

hey there seems to be a problem. Every time I go to the NFSUnlimited group I get signed out. when i login it goes to the dashboard. after navigating back to the group i find myself logged out.

Hmm weird, it seems to work ok for others. Maybe try logging in and then searching for the group on Last.FM, instead of clicking the link here or the Back button. Did you just sign up to the site?

Did u download the program...er I dont remember the name...

AFAIK it's not necessary to download AudioScrobbler in order to log in to the site, so I don't think that's the problem. Without it tho, many of the sites features are useless to you.

BTW, there are two forms of the program, one is a standlone internet radio type program and another is a plugin for your usual media player. Personally, I don't use the radio app - I just use my regular WMP and let the plugin do the work.

Nah, makes a great shirt too - I voted for yours remember?

Update: 11 members already! We only need four more to start seeing group music charts. I also made a competition to design a new avatar since the current one is kinda stolen.. :)

Drop by the group and find the competition in the forum there.

There's no need to download the player 2furio, LastFM is more about tracking the tunes you listen to. You can do that simply by installing the Audiscrobbler plugin into your existing media player, then all you have to do is listen to music with your regular tools.

Here's the download page: http://www.last.fm/tools/downloads/ You can down the player or the plugin(s) you need from there.

No offence, but I already explained this a few posts back. Sometimes I wish people would look further than the end of their nose.

Yea...my bad...I didn't see the post where you explained about the plugin...:)
