Just wondering why the newer NFS haven't featured Ferrari? The obviously must have had licences for them back in the earlier games, so why not now? With Porsche and Lambo's featured why not Ferrari?

I guess ferrari doesn't want their cars being chased by cops or being in ilegal street races. Or maybe they don't want their ride pimped, but thats probably not it.

Ferrari doesn´t want their cars in games where you break the law... And the newer NFS games are all about that: Illegal Streetraces (and in MW, Police Chases)...

the police stuff is just bull imo
there was police in the earlier games too, and they had ferrari...
and yes you were breaking the law there too, speeding, running from police etc

Maybe EA will surprise us, the third list hasn't even come out yet

The whole Ferrari not in games where there is police is also out the window.
Cause Test Drive Unlimited has several Ferraris (F430, 360 etc) and it also has cops in it. ok they are not as agressive as in MW the concept is the same:
- open world with traffic and cop.

Maybe EA and Ferrari hate each other

Only thing left is that or that they don't want their cars riced/having unofficial parts, but if that was it then EA could just make Ferraris uncustomizable. No-Ferraris suck, man! And so does No-Mclarens! I wonder where can I contact EA, they don't do anything they see in the forums.

a breakable observation but isn't Ferrari more licensing only on games that are more on the simulation side of than arcade?

Yeah I was thinking that maybe they have reserved there rights for Forza Motorsport, as there were no Ferrari's in GT. Maybe when they gave licencing rights to Forza it was on the terms that only the Forza line of games would have access to them. Who knows

Probably licensing issues... Since EA started to waste money on Honda and Toyota licenses, there's little cash left for Ferrari.

Little cash left for Ferrari? Then how did they get Pagani and Koenigsegg in... I'm thinking that Ferrari just doesn't like the fact that their cars might be included in the cheesy storyline

But seriously, I honestly cannot think of any reason Ferrari wasn't included... maybe EA just didn't ask them..

Ferrari is the ultimate exotic and I would love to mod the Enzo but stricktly speaking would you imagine a normal aspirated V12 engine capable of doing 350kmph being moded? It would be monstrous and would literaly blow of an Rx-8 or an Evo just passing by. It would be great I would love that. And what about the Bugatti Veyron? No one mentioned it. A W16 engine (yeap has 16 pistons mounted V8 on V8 ) having 1000bhp plus? Wouldn't that be great in the game too?

I'd like a Bugatti veyron too. They realy should make better car list

Yeah man, they should all supercars in and the carlist should atleast have 400 cars.

if you remember, in the original hot pursuit, there were Ferraris but they were only available in single race mode with no cops. Same goes for the mercedes.

no, I think I did race with a Ferrari with cops and also with a Mercedez

NFS III Hot persuit and NFS IV High Stakes (Road Challange) Mercs and Ferraris were disabled in the Persuit Modes, but in the NFS VI Hot Persuit 2 you could drive Ferraris and Mercs against the cops so i guess thats not the case anymore. My guess s the Ferrari doesnt want their cars being visualy changed, since i havent seen any of the Ferraris in the ricer styled games.

Then they could disable customization on Ferraris

well custumozation was a big gameplay part in the last 3 need for speed's (the stars in U1, droping heat level in MW) so if you would put ferraries in they would only be good as bonus cars, which you cant drive in the main story.
