OK, had a play with the demo now.
I think I'm going to change my start category when I get the full version to the tuners (I was going to start with the Alfa, therefore the Exotics) - that Lambo handles like a Routemaster double-decker bus with a couple of flat tyres in the Canyon Duel. Hopefully we'll be able to make it handle better with a bit of tuning in the full game. So far I am prefering Most Wanted...
The Camaro was quite good fun to drive, but for me the best was easily the Evo. Even overtook the goon in the green car on the Canyon Duel on my first attempt in that car.

I very much enjoyed it. It performs beautifully, that stuttering crap from Most Wanted is completely gone. I was really worried that would come back. The cars handle... oddly, only cause its different from Most Wanted. Graphics are very good, sound is good, playability was quite good so far. No doubt in my mind that I will be buying it on Wednesday. Good job EA. It's hard to impress me, but you did it. I got a taste and I want some more.

This is how it looks on my setup. 1024x768, all detail besides ground on max (just cos I forgot to turn that up) and 4xAA
Runs a steady ~50fps on a pair of Gainward Gefore 6800 Ultras, 2gb DDR450, 2x123mb 10krpm HDD's, A8N SLI Deluxe, optimised and clocked ~+200mhz on all parts
Can't wait for my 7800GT's...

I'm only 23 minutes away from playing the demo!! By the way, does anyone know how well this demo will run on my Dell Inspiron 1150 Notebook?
Edit: The specs are 2.6-GHz Mobile Pentium 4-M, 256MB DDR SDRAM; 30GB, 4,200-rpm hard drive; Intel 82855 GME graphics.

A pair of Gainward BLISS 7800GT GLH 512mb's. I don't really need to worry about temps because I'm gonna bold on the fans I was running on my 6800's (a pair of oversize 7950 fans) and look at water cooling possibly.gordo212000 wrote:hey steelsnake00 what 7800GTs are you going to get?? i RMA'd my old 7800gt to bfg and they sent me a new revision all copper ... awsome temps if u havent already bought them you should get those new revisions temps are around 42 idle and 64 on load (load being 3dmark06 bench)
It seems to crash if you try and start the game with the Gallardo. Start with any other car and its fine =\Porsche-AG wrote:I have gotten the following message when I try opening the demo:
