ok i downloaded bintex and it used to work fine but something happened and now everytime i try to open it this stupid windows install thing comes up asking me to install norton security again! and i have it already..and when i click cancel it just keeps coming up again....anyone know wats wrong??? :?

Try closing the Norton program if it's running.

still doenst work, but the funny thing is the program works fine, i import and export normally but its just really really annoying with taht install hting coming up continously,

nah man to much work for one program,it only happens with bintex now..it didnt happen before, just started.i tried downloadind the whole thing again but same problem

My advice.. ditch the NAV and dl the free 'AVG' antivirus - has all the stuff you need, most importantly stays updated automatically and stops the bugs. I bet you dollars to dimes that would fix the prob. NAV is notorious for interfering with other progs.

I think the site for avg is http://www.grisoft.com or sth similar. 8)

lets hope it workx..but the thing is its asking me to install NAV everytime i click on bintex so i doubt it would fix the problem..cause it askes me the location of the NAv disc

Yer - that's the new fangled Windows Installer technology in XP - checks progs to see if anything is supposedly messed up in their config and automatically launches the install prog if it finds a prob. possibly bintex has walked over some NAV settings in the registry or sumpin. reinstall *should* fix it, but you'll still be stuck wit NAV :(
