high stakes works for XP, just go @ nfscars.de and check for some patches, I made it work.

NO! Knowing EA, they'd probably remake it and make it worse!

You can run High stakes on XP, it takes some work and some patching but it is possible.
I still have it on my PC.
But I would like to see a new NFS game with the tracks of NFS 4 and the cars back also.

Porche works just fine with XP, but I would like to see it with todays gfx. Not that it looks bad as it is (actually the sceneries are still breathtaking), but there's always room for improvement visually.

So true...
But anyway, PU with NOTHING ELSE NEW EXCEPT TODAY'S GFX would be just fine

except carbon ovcouse, that runs like crap

Actually, in my experience, Most Wanted runs worse than Carbon. It crashes a lot more at random times.

o rly ?, thats weird b/c for me it is exactly the opposite, mw never has randomly crashed on me in the garage menu the only times it has crashed is in pursuits and that is rare

I totally agree. PU had the best mix of realism and fun.
Not to mention true damage

I would like to see High Stakes remade, with today's graphics, some better physics, and some more cars.

Yup, I'd vote for Porsche 2000 as well. But include the Porsche 928 as standard and usable in career (my favourite all-time Porsche), instead of as a downloadable extra (that EA would charge extra for now).
With modern graphics, I think it'd be awesome.

I don't want a remake i want a new game that is actually good not like Carbon

@ darren isnt the 928 that front engine v8 powered porsche ? if it is then i had that car in career and i didnt download it
Posted: 22 Nov 2006, 23:45
by DarrenR21373
I'm pretty sure I had to download it as a free add-on - though my version was called Porsche 2000, maybe it had slightly different content to Unleashed (it wouldn't be the only time EA shafted the British public!)
Anyway, the 928 us as attached. Enjoy the beauty (IMHO)
