Most Wanted VS. Carbon

Is it just me or is the gameplay of Most Wanted way more satisfying than Carbon? I mean the racing itself is more satisfying. It seems like Most Wanted is just faster. I own both for the PC and when i crank the graphics up as high as they will go(i have a very high end computer), Carbon doesnt look that much better to me. Other than a few specular reflection upgrades, its like the same engine. I just feel overall let down by Carbon. Am I alone in a sea of Carbon fans?
