Kerosene is aviation fuel, Im going to assume youve heard of diesel before. A petrol engine WILL NOT burn kerosene, a diesel engine will. It has something to do with the stroke of the pistons, I forget the exact science behind it, Ill ask my brother next time hes home (he now builds the module 4-12 turbines for the Tornado GR4 aircraft based at RAF Marham).Countach wrote: I live in the US pal, 93 Octane GASOLINE or Petrol is the best I can get. Not your wierd bumbum kerosine or diesel.
Im aware its the best street fuel you can get. My mockery wasnt aimed at you, but the American people in general. Yes, you may get about 400 gallons for what I pay for a litre, but still, quality over quantity. Any Japanese people in the audience can feel free to step forward and laugh at us both, they get 110 octane on pump, which is the equivalent here of race fuel. The only place I know where its available in the UK is in the pit lane of Rockingham race circuit. Here, the best we can get is 102RON, which has arguable advantages over V-Powers 99RON.
As for the smoking tyres...Ive seen Dees Supra light up the rears for the length of the strip. As it should, at the time it was pushing nearly 1100rwhp. However, by the time it was close to trapping, while still spinning, the tyres didnt produce smoke like that. Theyre either lying about the fact it can break traction at that speed (doubtful), or lying that the picture is proof of it (most likely).
