So since the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Infinit G35 were accidentally permenantly locked by EA's stupidity, we can't use them, that seems a tad unfair (even though the G35 isn't such a loss). Though i think due to the sheer overpowering of the LeMans, we should ban that from this too.

911 and G35 out, Audi in. If it's in the game out of the box, you can use it. If you had to hack your game, tough bikkies.

There are quite a few cars that can beat the Audi, btw.

Let me just state for the record that I disagree with the list, mainly because of the absence of the Porsche Turbo. EA clearly admitted it's their fault the Porsche Turbo isn't in the game and have yet to fix it, if they do fix it at all. Also the Porsche Turbo isn't an insane fast car like the Audi, it actually took me some time and effort to tune the car just right and set the records I did.

Since my opinion alone won't matter all that much, I like to suggest something. Since this is a community based board, why not let the community decide if they'll accept others users using the 'locked' cars ???

Till then I'll respect this decision, and I like to note that my record on Starlight Street Sprint track should also be removed.

Your opinion is noted. It's perhaps unfortunate, but a well defined line must be drawn somewhere. The decision stands.

If EA do release a fix that permits the Porsche to be legitimately unlocked, it will of course be added to the list of acceptable cars.

Thanks for the tip on the Starlight run.

Oh well ... no choice left but to sit and wait till EA fixes the problem. Just expect a load of Porsche Turbo shadows when they do :D

Also, you missed the one on Spade Street sprint track ... yeah I know, I've been busy

In actual fact, the 911 shadows and times are not deleted, simply suppressed. In the event that the car becomes available, your times will magically reappear.

I agree up to a point, but like I say, we need to draw a well defined line somewhere.

I'd like to report a problem encounetered with the Leaderboard system - hope this is the right place to do it!

I was just trying to upload a Drift shadow on Old Quarter completed with the Plymouth Hemi Cuda - I've tried a couple of times and it keeps reporting, "Error: Car not recognised". This is a standard in-game car.

Cheers!

I don't think the AE92 was in production until 1988. And NFS is very specific when referring to the GT-S model, since there had been a different, FF style Corolla being marketed around the world during the same period of time the FR AE86 (Trueno Sprinter, Levin, Corolla GT-S, and Corolla SR5) were all being marketed.

In 1987, the Corolla GT-S was still in production, though the hatchback was much harder to find; the coupe was far more prevalent.

I doubt the 86 in AE86 really has much to do with the year. The AE85 was a very watered down version of the AE86. It was marketed as a commuter car version of the more sporty AE86. This model having a far smaller, weaker engine, and weak suspension.

The owner of the car on this page claims to have a 1987 Corolla GTS:
