Wow, what a surprise! Pontiac decides to delve into Holden's vehicle lineup to make another car their own - this time the new VE Commodore [the first time being the Pontiac "formerly a Holden Monaro, now a GTO and also the Vauxhall Monaro VXR" GTO.

Rumoured to be next up from Australia is the Holden Commodore Ute to be the next Chevrolet El Camino.

I can say I'm not surprised this has happened again....

It's not like they're 'stealing' it; this was intended from the beginning.

It's also the reason why GM gave the VE Commodore a $1billion budget - the car was designed for worldwide usage and therefore they could afford a higher development cost.

Point taken there bogan, one of Holden's strong points now is that they export to every continent in the world except Antarctica - selling in the US will boost sales greatly, plus Holden have done a good job seeing the car through from concept to reality.

Although, I'm not a fan of the G8's "Americanized" styling...because the VE styling is generally more European in a way.
