iPod Videos
Hey I have an iPod Video and it seems like the only place I can put videos on it is from iTunes. My friend has videos from other places and I don't know how to! I want to know if I could get videos from http://www.gamespot.com that I have downloaded and if I can download videos from YouTube and put them on there. Can anyone help?

I suggest getting hold of a piece of PC software called "ImTOO iPod Movie Converter".
I can't say where I got hold of my copy (it's against this site's rules ) - but it will allow you to convert just about any Windows video format to the iPod video format. In fact, I was watching the British comedy classics "Bottom" and "The Young Ones" on my iPod Video earlier today...
Try Googling it. Hope this helps!

Open your MP4 movies in iTunes, and dump them on your iPod?Black Fire wrote:Hey I have an iPod Video and it seems like the only place I can put videos on it is from iTunes. Yeah, they look better (not just some bland white/black shape), have some more features than the iPod and plus...Why pay $300 for something called "iPod"? Whats the meaning in that? I know Zen means peace, and thats what I will have on meh birthday when I get my Vision:M

Well the prices of the Microphoto varies..
Stores:$185 for the 8GB (Just pictures, no videos, radio)
Site: $200
Vision M: $200 (30GB, videos, picture, radio)
$300(60GB, videos, picture, radio)
Did you have more than just $150 to spend? If you did, then you shouldn't have settled for a V Plus...You should have at least gone for the microphoto...Just don't drop it too much...my cousin did that with hers (Microphoto) and now when I turn it on, all i hear is the clicks from the HDD and it freezes at the startup screen.

I love my iPod Video and you guys aren't going to change my mind
It's got a 60GB hdd, and I can drive all the way from Southampton to Norwich and back (about 400 miles) and still not have heard even all my Motorhead collection let alone even started Nirvana, G'N'R, Blondie, Status Quo, Roxy Music... etc etc etc
Only slight pity is that there are too many FM radio stations in the UK - very difficult to find a free part of the band for use with my TuneCast II fm transmitter (which is now finally legal in this country).

Steve Jobs said it himself. The iPod is successful for being a easy to use mp3-player, with a easy program (depends on what you do with it) that automatically synchronizes your music.Stereo wrote:Zens are way better and there's factual proof and people's opinions. =O
And no, I didn't make my sig just for this thread.
How easy is that? Features only doesn't make a product successful.
Well, doh. Everybody recognizes a play button I guess..Stereo wrote:Zens are very easy to use aswell. I could use it outside of the box. Never took a look at the manual or support either.
I'm kinda getting tired of people that don't understand why ''inferior'' looking products are more successful. This thread never was meant to shiznit on Apple and iPod anyway.
