I hate Vista. Half-Life games don't run on it, and every one of my games stuttered, unlike in XP. The only good thing about it the theme. =\

What system spec you play on? My counter-strike run on it. Half-life don't run on Vista? So? Blame Vista? Blame the maker and creator of half-life for not making their game compatible with Vista. Then too bad, coz you only look at Vista only in its user interface but not its security and features.

Things that don't yet work for me, which are vital if I were to use Vista on my work laptop.
No working Bluetooth drivers available yet for my laptop, add to that Nokia PC Suite program is not Vista compatible yet. Adds to: I cannot connect to internet via my 3G-phone when I'm out of the office.
VPN-client applications do not yet work on Vista. Adds to: even if I were able to find a fixed internet connection (when I'm out of the office) I would not be able to connect to our corporate network via VPN.
Adds to: my laptop currently is rigged to dual boot with XP Pro and Vista Business. If I'm out of the office I logon to XP Pro, otherwise I'm using VB. I have no doubts that both these "problems" will be solved, just need to wait for them to get fixed.

As someone who sells computers, it's awful ...
As someone whoe's used it, it's a good improvement over XP ...

There hasn't been a revolutionary OS since apple designed the GUI. My point being is that Vista is just XP with more bling and (personally) very irritating security system that edges on paranoia. I know that I will eventually get Vista, but that's only because it will slowly become a necessity.

Very irritating security features... hmm
Would you like to elaborate on that?

Cancel or allow?
Though I wouldn't know.

I just turn that crap off ... Didn't need it on XP to stay virus-free, don't need it on Vista ...

Yea. Turn it off, game over! Why the complains?

You don't actually believe the Mac commercials, do you? All those commercials are pure BS and childish.
XP had its fair of issues and troubles at first too and I honestly think Vista is a better OS than XP was at its launch, just give it some time. At this point, it is pointless to upgrade to Vista since XP is stable and damn it, it is actually a good OS. If you buy a new computer/laptop and it comes with Vista, that's good since you'll be set for the future. Wait until Vista SP1 comes out...
As for XP security, you need 3 programs and you'll never have to worry about viruses, spyware, and so on:
- Sygate Personal Firewall
- Symantec (NOT Norton) Antivirus Corporate Edition (Symantec Virus Definitions never expire unlike those damn Norton Programs)
- Lavasoft Ad-aware SE Professional

I'm fine with Kaspersky AV and Ad-Aware. Firewalls annoy the hell out of me...

Kaspersky owns all ... Screw Symantec ...
The new Zone Alarm Internet Security kicks ass (as far as AV and AS protection goes), although it consumes a lot of resources ...

Newsflash: The "unhackable Vista" has been hacked with absolutely no variation between a legal and illegal copy. Microsoft made mass-production activation keys that... ah screw it im not getting in trouble... just look for the "paradox vista hack"

Wow, I'm screwed. My 15 day trial just screwed up. now I have no way to get HP to tatoo my mother board so I can have my XP back. does anyone know any legal windows trials other than the Vista trials that only last for 15 days? I just need something to last long enough for Hp to tatoo my motherboard so my XP recovery cd's will work.
