What ever happened to Mazdas plans of bringing back the RX7? They stopped at the Series 8 line then a few years later said it will be commin back????? I ain't a huge fan of the Japanese cars but the RX7 would be the only car i like i guess and i just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it?

Who cares? The RX only has the reputation it's got anyway because because of it's portrayal in the media.
If they do release another one, they should make the TT Rotary a little easier to look after
But I don't think this is really thread worthty.

...eh? It might have had more to do with the fact it was different to 99% of the car market at the time, looks great, and matched performance with Supras, Skylines and Ferraris despite only displacing 1.3L. As a result, car tax is very cheap.steelsnake00 wrote:Who cares? The RX only has the reputation it's got anyway because because of it's portrayal in the media.
As for the RX7, the last I heard, Mazda had no plans to continue the range. The RX8 took over the rotary crown (despite being slower), and the next Mazda rotary is likely to replace that.

I meant it's reputation as some kind of God amongst cars. And isn't the displacement on the engine due to the fact it's got a completely different stroke action, and in reality uses roughly as much fuel and oil as an engine considerably larger than it?Grez~Supra_RZ-S wrote:...eh? The trick to the rotary is that for every revolution of a piston, the rotary has two. In essence, the 13B displaces 2.6 litres in the same time a conventional engine displaces 1.3 litres. However, technically speaking the 13B does still displace 1.3L, hence the tax. Insurance dont look at it that way though.
