This doesn't make me love NFS....this is the reason why NFS sucks....because other companies are not capable of making a good racing game which can compete with NFS...

It doesn't look that game is going to be anything like NFS, game play wise.

Why would this make me love NFS? It's just a cheap rip-off, which by the way NFS started. THAT'S why I'm buying Juiced 2

Well the last Juice sucked ass. Even more than NFS has lately...

But we have to see what happens lil friend with Pro Street... ¬¬

If Pro Street REALLY convinces me to go out and buy it for my PS3, then I will. But the basis of this whole topic is, as I said, a cheap rip-off of NFS. The only street-racing game that is exceptionally worth buying over NFS is Midnight Club 3. In saying this I'm not saying NFS is great. I'm saying that with all the cheap rip-offs of NFS, it is second-best in its sub-genre. You can go better. Buy MC3.

That game doesn't make me like U2 any more than I already do. The whole underground series was all rice with tuning thrown in as an after thought. EA wanted to cash in on the "FNF + hip hop" thing at the time. They did. Now they've moved on (thank god).
I don't know how you can say a racing game with SUV's in it is anything but rice.

Actually yeah, the whole street racing thing is getting REALLY old. I'm sure the lovely people at EA have better things to do than churn out one bowl of rice after another.
The best racing games I have ever played are MotorStorm, Gran Turismo 4, and all the Burnout series. Why? Because ricing isn't the number one priority.

i agree. this doesn't make me feel like NFS is really good. just makes me realize how bad this game is going to bomb when it's released! i prefer the Gran Turismo Series over a lot of other games, but as stated before: if you want a good street racing game, buy MC3.
by the way, Gran Turismo is still the best racing game out there. i think the 4th installment had something like 650 cars and 50+ tracks. NFS has a lot to do to compete with a game like GT.

Make that over 700 cars and 100 tracks when you add the reverse.
Not only that, GT5 is going to have ALL Ferraris licensed. I'd like to see EA do that, considering that the last time they were featured was Hot Pursuit 2.

they never will. they want to make more money and dig into peoples' pockets. still would be nice to have Ferrari cars back in NFS. one thing bugs me and that's the sound of most racing games. all, with the exception of FM2, have these weird computer generated sounds. FM2 has some computer generated effects, but you can still hear a lot of realism.

Same with Gran Turismo 4, and Tourist Trophy. The main reason for this is probably because these games, including Forza, thrive on realism, because they're driving simutators. Therefore, the developers usually go out and find the best sound samples, to add more realism. Only some of the cars are untouched, because either:
1. they couldn't find sound samples for that specific model or
2. another model sounds similar to it, so they use these samples as a substitute.
Meanwhile, games like NFS are mainly for the customisation processes, therefore they have fake sounds because realism isn't a priority.
That's my opinion.
