First car I drove was a BMW 320i when I was 14, I think - may have been 13, even.

im HOPING that my first car will be a Skyline or Eclipse <not the new model> but that might be hard to find in this country, and i doubt ill have the money to import one any time soon, unless i win a lottery then importing costs would be no problem.

That would be hard pretty much anywhere. Here in the UK, even a non-turbo Skyline would cost £5000+ for a new driver to insure.

The first car I drove was my brother's Volkswagen Golf 3 when I was 16. Legally though, my first true car and road experience was in a Seat Ibiza (2009) from the driving school. :P

One of my good mates owns a car rental company and he was fortunate enough to let me drive it! (Car park training :P)

I mean at the time I didn't really know what to expect but ive been taking driving lessons in a 1.4 Yaris SR and I can really feel the difference! :P

Who rents Type R GT's, and can you get track-day cover on them? If so I think I might just do that when it's too wet for the bike rather than just canceling!

Well, there are alot of 'youths' in our area (like myself :P) who want to rent fast, cheap cars! He also has an Astra VXR and various Audi, BMW saloons etc.

Ermm, you can rent any of the cars for whatever purpose. Im not sure about track day cover. I can find out for ya but I really doubt it.

If it's no trouble, do you mind asking? 29, 5 years protected NCB with one previous accident 6 months ago (split liability), bike license and soon to have Nats Group B ARDS racing license.

You'd be surprised what you can get away with. A mate of mine's car was in the workshop so he got a rental for one of our municipal track-day sessions. He bought a set of second-hand wheels in the correct fitment with track slicks on for £150 off Ebay before he picked it up, gunned it round the track for a day, popped the originals on, banged the wheels back on Ebay and returned the car- even being commended on how clean it was on return. Ha...

An hour drive or on the train, or 40 mins on the bike ;)

-EDIT-
Edited to add- that track day, he must have checked the weather and it absolutely wee'd it down. He got cut wet slicks with his cheap wheels, and was literally the only person there not spending half the day going sideways. 380+bhp, RWD, 1400kg and Pilot Cup dry slicks = tail out everywhere in the wet.

Hi,
I still remember the car that i drove very first time and that was toyota Mark II, I don't know the year of manufacturing of that car but that was in green color. I can feel the excitement of that time i had.
Thanks

Hmm affordable cars... can't make up my mind but here are some contestants:

-Nissan Silvia S15, love it stock just like that.
-A 70's Pontiac Firebird, I actually own a 79' model (700$) but it's way beyond drive ability or even restoration. Don't even have a garage, wonder how long it will take till they find it and tow it... if I ever find one in good condition and with a decent price I'll get it. Assuming I get my license till then which is unlikely cause... heh a license in Romania costs $$$.
-A Chevy Camaro IROC-Z, same case as the Firebird, I know someone who got a perfect IROC-Z for 1850$.

Btw $ = old euros, damn keyboard.

I wouldn't class an S15 as "affordable". Unless I'm mistaken, they were never officially sold outside of Japan/Australia.

Neither was the Firebird outside America :P

Anyway by ''affordable'' I meant in the 30.000 - 50.000$ range, something that you can actually get in a life time. If you're thinking affordable as in 1000$ - 5000$ then I can't even afford one of those atm XD Plus I'd rather chop my own b*lls off than drive a Dacia.

First car I drove was a Ford Sierra Estate Ghia, though my first car was a 1988 1.4l Peugeot 205 XS.

First drifter was my poor 1987 RX-7 FC3S, now semi-stripped and awaiting pickup by new owner. Got another one for sale and getting a new one from Japan in the next 6-9 months. Can't wait to get a rotary going again, though it won't have the 13BT in it any more...

New daily driver on the horizon is a 306 GTi-6. Aiming for a black one 98-99 model :)
