My best time so far is 7,11 and it was achieved through a Max grip and almost perfectly gear changing run.
The track helped a lot. Just a straight line with no ups and downs and a green light to help you on the start.
Im riding a 67´Camaro SS with 648bhp.

I've started to tuning a 67 Camaro today and I won the complete Drag Queen tour with no N2O and 409m Wheeling with no N2O too

That little muscle is really very awesome to drag!

Just posted mybest 1/4 time with 7,08
Im trying to play with the nitrous so it wont bother me much making me loose control. Lets see if i can lower its pressure and use it almost at the start.

Just use N2O in 4th and 5th or the car will "dance" and it's means walls hugh!
If your car have 5th clutch, usa N2O in 4th else have 6th, use in 5th

Yeah i always left my NO2 for the end, but i noticed that in certain tracks my using the NO2 in 4th helped me a lot to get better times. On the most difficult trackslike the ones with a little uphill road at the end, then i find it difficult hitting the NO2 in 4th or 3rd gear cause normally it happens what you said (bang myself against the wall).
Im still trying to play a little bit with the settings, most of all with the gears, but i havent found a way to beat the 7,08 yet and the time someone posted that was below 7 seconds its just hard to believe.

Yeah, one tenth of a second is something reasonable, but what i was referring to was someone that said he made 6,60 or something similar. Thats almost five tenths of a second in a race where the differences are not too big normally.
Im not saying he can do it, im just saying that i find it difficult to believe.
Hope you can get the info on your friends settings to see what can be improved.

7.13 for my 1000hp+ Supra so far. Propably would go ever so slightly under 7 if I could get tuned in a way that it wouldn't pop a wheelie from the starting line.
(rear shocks/suspension/tire pressure as hard as they go, any other tuning tips? anyone?)

So far. Only in the second race day, my fastest 1/4 mile time is 10.28. In a 560BHP Chevelle SS.

Vehicle - Toyota Supra - 1,076 HP 651 TQ
The lowest 1/4 mile was 6.08, its all tuned so it doesn't do a wheelie. My friend, who has a really similar supra setup, has hit a 5.89 in the 1/4. We are searching for a car that can hit 5 seconds easily though!

My 240SX hits constant 6.91-7.00 on the 1/4, and 9.80 - 10.20ish on the 1/2.
So why pay 700k for a Zonda, when I have all I need?

You will never catch me using a Zonda (feels like cheating), but I have hit the low 7's in a few cars. My newest project is getting the AE86 below 9.33 in the 1/4 mile.
