I played the Demo, and IMO it was horrible.
I love the Rainbow 6 series. played it from the first Rainbow 6 (original game) and read the book.
My favorite games where Rainbow 6 Rogue Spear and Raven Shield. but Las Veges was simply horrible. yeah it looked pretty nice but the whole Idea of R6 was gone.
it was a steath shooter, not a full out shooter, and that was what made R6 cool in the first place.
R6 LV was just a other shooter imo.

I'm in exactly the same boat as Stig.

I played all the old games, I have the book, and Vegas just ruined it all. I can't even finish the last level because it's so damn buggy! It's like a cross between GRAW and GoW, except 10x worse. Everything that makes it a Rainbow6 game has just disappeared #-o

Well unless they go back to the old style, wich I seriously doubt, then I will not even try the demo.
I don't need a other streight forward shooter...

If you haven't played any of the original R6 games then you should try R6: Raven Shield.
It's completely diffirent to LV.
It is more about planning and tactics than it is with R6:LV.
And it still looks decent for these days, being already a few years old.
The old R6 games are 1 shot 1 kill games (if aimed correctly) but the same goes for the oponents.
The things that made the orig R6 games so nice was that you could not just storm in a building and shoot around.
You had to plan before you got even started, plan your route, plan your crew (who to take with you (there are several experts that are good at something and not as brilliant at other things)
What gear to take with you (a big load of weapons to choose from) and what camo and protection to wear etc.
Then came the part of following your plans.

How?

There is no map planning, no character selection, no equipment loadout, no mission briefing, no teams, or go-codes, no nothing.
It's all bloody gone.

Exactly what Bogan said,
Look I don't know about the full game, only what I seen in the demo and what read about the game.

I sometimes still play Raven Shield, eighter a simple lone wolf game or a normal terrorist hunt.
And even though it is basicly the same game you play it still amazes me how I still get suprised by it and sometimes even my whole squad gets whiped out.

Like NFS they have to go back to the Roots of what Rainbow 6 was all about.
Instead of a casino shooter.
Look I haven't tried Vegas 2, but for some reason it does not apeal to me after playing R6 Vegas, cause that was just rubbish, it lost all that was nice about the original R6 games
