Next Challenge Idea
Next Challenge Idea
The r3actChallenge is underway, but we need an idea for the next challenge which should start a week after r3actChallenge ends. Got a suggestion?
Re: Next Challenge Idea
Elegante Challenge. Rice is forbidden!
Re: Next Challenge Idea
Yeps! Elegante/elegance challenge whatever you call it. To make it more challenging, no vinyls allowed, or limited use of vinyls. Ok I'm being too strict... lol.

Re: Next Challenge Idea
In contrast with the "elegance" idea, how about the MOST tuner-esque car? Prize goes to the person with the paint that makes your retinas burn the most (jk)
Or, we could just make one for another org. Or perhaps one for a specific car make, like a Nissan challenge for the best Nissan.

Re: Next Challenge Idea
/me agrees with the elegance challenge, but it would be more exotics. I think that a challenge limiting vinly layers would be dumb hard to do because how would you know that the person used under 5 layers?
My challenge ideas?
Cheap Drifter/grip/drag
Dub Edition/Gangster/Pimp
Team Car Presentation( dosent have to be crazy.can be a simple collage)
Magazine Cover Presentation or Game Cover Presentation regarding the next Need For Speed

Nah, vinyl limit's silly, you can rice with one. I can use 20 layers on tone work alone.
Re: Next Challenge Idea
Clean JDM no rice
Re: Next Challenge Idea
Yeah, but what's your definition of JDM?
Would this qualify?

Re: Next Challenge Idea
How about the PinkChallenge again?
Actually, recycling any previously used challenge would be cool.

Re: Next Challenge Idea
Damn wish I had the game for PC lol.
If I did I would like to see a "create your own club car" style challenge. Where everyone creates what they would want their club car to look like. No limits on anything. You could have 1 to 20 vinyls with any colors and body parts. The colors you pick are obviously the colors that represent your club. The overall body/rim style would represent the type of racing you do for example a rally theme, drift theme, drag theme ect ect. Lastly the vinyls would try to create a design that would define your club. Maybe some words together creating a club name.
I would be very happy to join something like that.

Re: Next Challenge Idea
I second that. JDM gives a person some leeway on having a few decals/vinyls. The main thing is to make it fast, great handling, and make it look good without any help from extra vinyls.viper16 wrote:yes that is and this http://www.nfsunlimited.net/showroom/entry/33864

Re: Next Challenge Idea
Yeah, J-Style sounds ok... Fairly simple vinyl layouts, a tuning company...
Like this S2000, NSX GT, and the baby blue GTR:

Not sure if we draw the line here... It is japanese tuning company style...

but maybe stick with the understated stuff?

Re: Next Challenge Idea
Next Challenge: American Hot Rod Challenge
So the next challenge has been decided. Theme will be american hot rods - old muscle cars, superchargers, flaming vinyls, lots of chrome...
Allowed cars:
1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
1969 Dodge Charger R/T
1967 Shelby GT500
1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda
1968 Plymouth Road Runner
1965 Pontiac GTO
1967 Chevrolet Corvette C2
Official announcement should go up tomorrow after r3actchallenge finishes.
But before it goes, I'd need somebody to make a good demo car. If you want to help, pm me the picture of the demo car (which of course has to follow the general challenge rules = same as classic category).

Re: Next Challenge Idea
I like all the previous idea's, except for the replica challenge, but unfortunately I can't come up with new idea's. There is only one thing that should be changed next time imo. And that's keeping people from uploading their entries in the showroom before or during the challenge. That ruins the competition imo. The rest worked fine, especially the voting tour was good.

Totally agreeErikS883 wrote:There is only one thing that should be changed next time imo. And that's keeping people from uploading their entries in the showroom before or during the challenge. That ruins the competition imo.
By the way, the hot rod idea is very very nice.
