Dayum, son. And it's not OLED. It's LED. There is a difference.

What benefit would 240Hz have for normal TV and DVD/Blu-ray? I can only imagine it being useful for computing considering that PAL TV is only 25FPS.

Its 120hz, sorry. The 8000 series is 240.

The benefit is faster refresh? lolz? Plasma's hit around 400 - 600 so LCDs are still far behind. Regardless, games average around 60.

You don't really care, it's just a bonus, lol. Speaking of Plasmas... the death of Kuro is bad news =-( Sad that Pioneer are pulling out of the plasma market, as their picture is still better than that of an LCD, and now there's nothing to fill the gap between extreme high end (B&O) and normal (Panasonic) brands.

Sony? Or am I just loving my 52" Bravia. :>

Pioneer was pretty good. I remember seeing them in Best Buy about a year ago and they had the best quality out of all the big TVs that were hung up.

19" LCD Samsung SyncMaster 940N

@Korge: I don't see a difference between 60 or 75 fps. I don't think there would be much difference if it's higher.

I'm probably going to switch my Acer P241w with a Samsung 245T-BL. It's got 8-bit pixels, big plus over my Acer. I can't stand playing crysis with good graphics and extremely visible gradient contours. This will be a win.

EDIT: Got the samsung. It's a win.

Obviously 15fps is not much.

The difference from 20 fps to 60 fps is more noticeable, and the difference from 75 to 250 is also more noticeable. The trouble is finding a game that runs that fast.

I just got this on NewEgg for $136. :D Full HD, 2MS response, 16.7 million colours, 50,000:1 contrast ratio. My current monitor only has a contrast ratio of 350:1. :lol:

'Kay? Why? NewEgg is awesome-tastic. Except when stuff is shipped from New Jersey, instead of their distribution centre that's, like, 2 hours from where I live. :(

Hm, yeah, that's a good point.

On a related note, I love NewEgg even more. My monitor shipped yesterday afternoon from New Jersey, and it was on my doorstep in California when I got home, today. :shock:

24s are still a lot. More than a 1080p 22" and a 17" secondary, lol. Could've done 2x E2200HDs for a little it more than a 24" lol
