NFS mw cant run properly on vista??

well here's the prob. i have a desktop pc running XP and a laptop running vista. both had NFSMW installed at the same time, just days apart from each other. the games ran fine on both PC's till yesterday. the default disc to slot in to play nfsmw is disc 1 of 4. yet, when i slot disc 1 into my laptop, it reads the disc for a really long time, then tells me its the wrong disc.
can anyone clarify on this matter?

Do you have any CD-burning software on your computer, such as Sonic's DLA? If so disable it for the drive you put the game disc in. If not (or if this doesn't help), run the game in compatibility mode.

ok nvm now it runs. i set the compatibliity mode to win xp but it didnt want it so i didnt set any compatibility at all, and tada. it runs.

Dear NFS members,
I dont get it, does this means that nfs MW doenst run on vista? because I can install the game, but when install is ready, it doesnt want tho launch the game, the whole time it says "please insert disc" ore something like that
