today i installed my old copy of most wanted and now when i reboot windows it fails with an option to start as normal or safe mode, i went into safe mode and did a system restore now i windows boots up fine but i don't have most wanted installed.
my system specs:
intel duo core 2 e6550 cpu 2.3 gig
3 gigs of ram
xfx geforce 8600 gt 512 ram
diamond xtream sound 7.1
asus p5ne-sli (with nforce 650i chip)
i did scan for viruses and none where found.
also i was using the 1.3 patch

Installing a simple program that doesn't mess with your core system files should not cause a boot failure. You probably have something else wrong with your installation.
