So do you want a 'sound' capturing program or a screen capture program? Because your post and your subject title are different altogether.

For sound, you can always use Windows Recorder. It's in the Accessories folder in the Start Menu. For screen capture, you can use Paint. Hit the Print Screen button (or PrtSc on some keyboards) and paste it over on MS Paint.

Screen capture (As in video) and sound to accompany the video.

Why is this in Editing?

Anyways, you can record sound using Fraps. Just set the recording source to Stereo Mix. If you have any kind of decent sound car, you should have that option. Otherwise, use a loopback cable to connect your Stereo Out to your Microphone and set that as your recording source.

However, some games do have problem with recording audio through Fraps. In that case, you're probably out of luck.
