game freezes or stucks lightly

hi guys
i am new to Nfs unlimited and my system CONFIG is
Pentium D(805) 2.66Ghzs Dual Core
Gigabyte 81865GME-775 Motherboard
2 X 1GB STROTIUM Ram DDR 400
sapphire Ati Radeon 9550 256MB
Creative Audigy 2 zs platinum soundcard
250GB + 80GB sata HDD
400W SMPS Iball
Sony DVD RW
Tech com tv tuner
During the Nfs Undercover game play back with 1024x768 resolution the game plays smoothly and during the cornors or the edges of the road while crossing the car the game stucks or freezes for some milli seconds not for a second also whats the main cause i think SMPS MUST BE 500W OR A GRAPHICS CARD please give me a solution for this
